2015 proclimb - wiring plug help

So I have a 2015 HCR and put a goggle bag in the slot under the gauge one of the first rides. About 10 minutes into the ride the sled started throwing all kinds of codes. ECU 6, ECU 7, ECU 17, ECU 1 and temp. I knew there was no way there was a serious problem but couldn't figure it out. Right before we headed back to the truck I thought to check the connections under the goggle bag. Sure enough the one had came unplugged, fallen down the steering post hole and had rattled around and broke/melted.

For a temporary fix I straightened the pin in the plug (there is only 1 with 1 wire going into it) and the hole on the other side of the plug and plugged it back together. It won't stay plugged together since the tab melted off and just wanted to fall apart so I taped it together with electrical tape. It seems to work but I am worried about moisture getting in and causing it to throw codes and go into limp mode again.

This is one of my hill climb race sleds so I am looking to have a fix I can trust so I don't have to worry about it quitting on the hill. I am trying to avoid buying a new wiring harness since it is all one long harness and is 300-400$.

Has anyone seen this or any ideas? Can I hard wire it together it just looks like a 1 wire loop. I am attaching the diagram from the parts fiche and pictures of my sled.

Thank you

I believe that is the VIP plug in that comes on the 2015 hcrs. Similar to the plug in on the race sleds for recording stats on the sled. Coud be wrong though.

I think you are right. I looked up the parts fiche on a 2015 sno pro and that plug does not show up. Any ideas? Could i hard wire it together or by pass it someway?

Why not take it too your dealer for warranty?? or am I missing something...

It is a race sled so no warranty. Just figured I would see if someone knows more about wiring than myself to avoid buying a whole new wiring harness.

Did you buy it from a dealer? or pick it up through the race dept?

If you look at the parts fiche picture the plug is a part of the whole wiring harness you have to buy the whole thing.

I would think if you could talk to the right person, you could get that plug without buying the whole harness. Maybe go through salvage or call the race dept.

Does it throw codes when open?. If yes maybe wire it closed

Yes that's when it threw probably 6-8 different codes and went into limp mode. It looks like I could just wire it closed but I am not very knowledgeable with that kinda of stuff so wanted to ask around.

U can make ur own plug in.
Go to radio shack or someplace similar and get a waterproof plug and solder it in.

Change it over to a deutsch plug. Get a hold of an heavy equipment (field service) guy and they should have something to fix it. If not pm me I'm in Lander.
