I am new to snowbikes but I would love to build one. I just bought the new ktm 300xc-w sixdays. Is this bike at all a good candidate for a snowbike build. Any information would be hepfull thanks

I just put a 2015 ST on a 2014 six days 300xc-w earlier this evening. Can't wait to ride it! Did all the extras to make it run right.
I had a 2009 300xcw. I ran the timbersled track on it for two years. The 300 is my favorite bike ever for the trail, but it didn't work well with the snowbike setup.
In my experience the two stroke didn't have the low end torque needed to run in deep powder. I had to keep the rpms high to produce enough power, and blew through several sets of reed valves....changing reeds in the snow isn't much fun. My friend has a KTM 505, which performed a world better. I ended up buying the 500exc, looking forward t trying it out!
