2015 freeride 154 need 3 inch lug track.

tracksusa has deals on them in the summer. i have seen blownmotor selling them for good prices. remember you also need 7 tooth drivers and an offset axle for the rear (because the track is actually 156x3)

And if you order it from Doo it would be the flexedge also.

Is it do able to put a x3 on a 154 and how much downfall is it going away from the flex edge?

i went from the standard 2.5 flex on my 163 to a camo extreme x3 (non flex obviously). i dont notice any difference in average to above average snow conditions. i have never rode a like sled with flex edge, on the same day, same hill, to compare.........so take my review with a grain of salt. but i have not noticed any difference. maybe in spring snow a guy would.

this weekend i will have another 163 with flex track in our group. i know he wants to compare my 3'' to his oem track (as far as traction goes). i will have to focus more on the flex edge and see if i can notice and substantial differences.

Okay sounds good. I can't imagine huge difference. On fence right now bout carryover xm or carryover pro and would want a 3" on either. Decisions decisions...

Does anybody know how Doo is doing the three inch 154?

Like are they using 8 tooth, and will the new 3 inch fit our older 8 tooth sleds and not rub?

The T3 has a longer chaincase and also using 7T 3" pitch drivers. It has plenty of clearance to run 8T-3" pitch but this also exposes the drivers to more potential for damage.
You can fit a 3" in prior year XP/XM using Avid 7T 3" pitch drivers. It's a tight fit but works fine with either Camoplast or Doo tracks. I understand you can also use the Doo factory 7T 3" pitch drivers but I have not personally done this.

Flex Edge Track Feels to Make the Difference

a friend and I both had 09 XP 154 he put the tmotion kit with his old track and I had put the flex edge track on mine . We wanted to compare to see which component made the biggest difference. we both agreed riding both sled same hill right after each other the track made it easier to initiate and hold a sidehill. Just from that experiment I personally would want to keep the flex edge but then again the XMs are almost to easy to ride feels like it's cheating so I'm sure either way you can't go wrong.
