2014 SBA Rock Hit

Took a direct hit on a rock the other day, dead on where the front lower a arms are mounted. A side from a good gouge in the plastic and a sore wrist I don't see any damage.

I wasn't going super fast but I went from blowing over a drift to a dead stop pretty quick. I'm wondering if and where I should be looking for hidden damage? This is my first big hit on a pro ride chassis.

Check your a-arms and shocks to see if they are still lined up good and shafts are straight.

Take your hood off and check your over structure.

Check under and around the engine.

Look for cracks/breaks in the aluminum, make sure things are still lined up, etc.

I took a hit last season my SBA as well and had to replace the left side lower a-arm. I think these sleds can handle some pretty good hits, online my old ski doo xp.

Thanks guys! Our snow is all gone again... Doubtful if it will return the way this year is going, so I'll have some time to check things aver real good.

I've checked the obvious area's over pretty good already and I don't see anything but I'm planning on pulling the hood tomorrow. The over structure is already cracked but I have a spare on the shelf. Hopefully no major hidden damage, I'm ready to trade in come snow check time...

Update. Just in from the garage and it looks like I will be ordering a lower bumper. That is the only hidden damage that I can find.

It doesn't appear that anything else has moved, Shocks and arms all appear to line up and and everything moves free. The hit was right on the mounting point for the lower a arms and it appears that the lower bumper mount "gave" from the force. I'm amazed that I don't see anything else out of place but it all looks good.
