2014 Pro RMK 800

After riding for the last 5 years and not having the money to buy my own sled I am going to be buying my first sled this week. It is a 2014 Pro RMK 800. The sled has 800 miles on it. I am getting it for what I believe is a fair deal of $7500.00. I will be meeting the seller half way since we live 8 hours apart. I am looking for any suggestions on what I should look for or beware when it comes to this year/model. When it comes to riding the PROs are there any issues I should be aware of that I might want to address before I head out riding? I appreciate any and all advice.

I don't ride one, but I would check the A-arms for glue separation and any hints of bent metal in the tunnel around the foot wells.

I'm sure there are other things to look for, but those 2 things pop up for repair quite often on here.

As with any used sled purchase, check compression, suspension wear and bushings, along with track wear/condition. Pro specific would be any components that are bonded with adhesive and also check the tunnel/bulkhead for any kinks or bends, especially were they meet and around the footwell area.

All you really need to do on a '14 is replace the lower quickdrive sprocket bolt with a Grade 8 or (10.9) put a little locktite blue on it and torque to 38 ft/lbs. Everything else on the sled is made to ride. 8,100 to 8,200 is the sweet spot on the '14 whereas 8,000 rpm was the sweet spot on the '12.
