What kind of vent kit is on the assualt? I have a 2013 163 coming and a snowchecked Silber kit coming. I noticed that it looks like that is a silber kit on yours. That assualt looks sweet!! Thanks.

The vent kit is a Mo-flow kit, and yes it is a silber turbo, and thank you for your compliments!

How much riser can you put in there without cutting or extending any lines?
On my 12' I had a 2" riser, but I am sure you could go with a 3". But I am 6'3" and I am going to go back down to a 1" riser. The 2" is just a tad too tall, and I have a 1" on the 13' and it is perfect balance.

I'd like to powder coat my running boards, rails and spindles. After doing your assault, how do you think dark grey would look on that 13?

Actually, the assault is matte green, but in that pic it sure does look grey.

Dont really get the lingo, sorry.
Ofcourse I´m going to ride it hard when snow comes. That I wrote about "beeing like a child day before christmas" was just to describe that tingling feeling in my right thumb ;) I´m not going to drive it like a child.


To T.S: That turbo-kit what brand is it? looks freaking awsome and probably runs like hell also.
Edit: I saw that you had answered already "a Silber kit".

Do you plan on powder coating the a-arms? I wanted to do the same but was afraid that the glue holding the graphite pieces to the mount might come undone in the heating process.

I wanted to do the inner idler wheels on my '12, but looks like the external reservoirs on my Raptor shocks will get in the way...

Yes, I plan on getting the lower a arms powder coated. I had some concern the adhesive would release in the oven. But I asked my powder coater to try and hang the arms in a horizontal position to attempt to minimize the movement of the pieces. Once it cools, the adhesive will re-harden. Worse comes to worse and I will have to heat it slightly to adjust the position of the parts to the correct orientation when I reassemble.

There is another thread where Icr had p/c his whole chassis and talking with the glue MFG they said the glue will acctually harden more after the heat cycle.
 
wouldnt anodizing be better for these parts being aluminum? or why go with powdercoating as opposed to anodizing.

I'll be looking at coloring the same parts but not sure which way to do it

I personally would go with a hydrophobic hard anodizing, as the heat bake on most powder coatings is about the same temp as the heat treat will dissappear from the heat treated aluminum alloys, which is about 1/2 it's strength. Also anodizing is nearly weightless when compared to the weight of powder coating.
 
I'm told you couldn't anodize the a-arms since they're steel bonded into aluminum??
 
What type of coating do you have on your Assault? Looking to do something on my 13'

It is plasti dip paint. While it is easy to apply and looks great, I don't think it will hold up to the abuse very well. I already have a couple nicks in the coating just from moving them around in the garage. I will most likely just peel the plasti dip off and wrap the side panels with 3m vinyl.

As other stated anodizing isn't an option for me in my location (Alaska). The other reason I chose powder coating is there are many color options with powder coating (like thousands) and the coating holds ups very well to the abuse and sheds snow and ice well. I have powder coated many sled parts through the years with great success.
