Does the primary clutch on a 2013 Pro RMK have a different spring and weights, than the regular RMK that comes with the drive chain and gears???

I have a spec sheet that compares a pro to a rmk and all is the same except for the gearing, 21-44 on the pro and 20-42 on the rmk. My question is, if the quick drive is so efficient , why are the weights the same weight at 62 grm? And are these the same weights used last year. If I'm am correct the gearing is lower on the rmk.

The ratio of both is 2.10 so half dozen of one, 6 of the other.

Not sure, but I thought it would be more efficeint also. Any Polaris engineers on here care to step up and answer this one?

44/21=2.09
42/20=2.10

In the big picture the primary controls RPM and the secondary controls the shift. The shift characteristics are are controlled by torque feedback from the track driveshaft and the secondary helix and spring.

So I would expect to see a change in the secondary not the primary.

Personally I don't think the polaris belt drive is that much more efficient and I bought one. The chaincase is not that bad and the best attributes of the belt drive are less weight and rotating mass. I don't think your going to see a lot of difference between the 12 and 13 as far as power goes.
