2013 pro motor mounts?

The last E-Mail I got from Neil at Boost-it he was sold out and was seating whether to make any more. The other thing is they have stopped US sales due to insurance reasons? He said he would know by September if he was going to make more, be patient or start bugging one of the US urethane companies.

I have e-mailed Boost it a couple of times about the motor mounts. Says that they will be available again this year but are going to be a new design,(little softer). I'm still running the original mounts in my 2011 but noticed the PTO mount is bad and my clutches are very hot compaired to when the sled was new. Seems a waste of time and money replacing them with the same mounts from Polaris!!

Who else sells these mounts I would like some I have the slp torque arm but mine are still loose

I only had knowledge of the Boost-it mounts, but if he fails to produce them with enough interest we could get one of the US based urethane companies to produce them for us. If he does produce them, I can get some of my Canadian contacts to provide a Canadian address and then forward them to me or whoever wants to distribute them to the US customers (to get around the no sales to US customer insurance clause).

I'm just thinking out loud here. We have options, likely none of them cheap but then replacing the stockers every couple months is not cheap either.

I recently dropped my sled off at boost its shop to get his HO kit put on my pro. I had asked if they could put their poly motor mounts in since mine seemed a little loose. they said they stopped using them because they were to hard and started breaking motor mount bolts. They now use a torque stop on their boosted sled.

I,m sure there would be a tradeoff with better mounts, either vibration or breakage somewhere. However sometimes its worth it in reliability and longer belt life. When I had a 900 a fellow from Newfoundland made urethane mounts, vibrated my feet numb but I got 2500 hard miles to a belt compared to 4 - 500.

I am on my 5th belt last season.and original quick drive belt. Did proper break in on the belts and 4 belts in less than 500 miles. I was so pi$$ed and Polaris said there was nothing wrong the first 3 belts. So when I blew the 4th I dropped it off and said fix this because she's all stock and new a new sled should not do this. The found motor mounts were shot. Weird on a stock 2013 limited but whatever.
They gave me one belt for my issue. I am at 8xx miles on her now so about 300 miles on a belt is awesome. My turboed 2012 rmk pro with 2500 miles on it hasn't been through that many belts. Just my experience

Ya maybe they are to hard and would cause other problems may just have to put new stockers in every 1000 miles or so

Should a guy be changing all the mounts or just the front pto side? My 12 has 1800 miles and i blew three belts in 400 miles. So im thinking my mounts are also bad. How are you guys checking them?

Changed mine last night, actually found the rear pto had the most wear - 15 thou. Front was 10, rear mag was 7, front mag was 2. Doesn,t sound like much but with the ribbed design they are easily squished when new. I actually squeezed silicon in the ribs on the rear pto to hopefully test whether it will compress less and last longer. Still think urethane mounts would be best, after all they aren,t iron and have some compression for shock loads and should last. Slp torque stops are probably good too but I have electric start so they can,t be mounted.

So did they put new motor mounts in your sled or just leave the old ones in with the torque stop?

It no doubt helps but the crappy round pucks are still an issue. I have the motor plate and less than 200 miles on a new set of rubbers and the small pto rubber was mushed out. I have now put a urethane bushing in there to try.

Let me get this straight, you have an FTX billet plate with all 6 mounts (not just the factory 4) and in 200 miles it needs a new PTO rubber? Is this a Cummins 6BT you have in your sled?

I have an 11 pro with a silber kit. putting the slp arm on and thinking it is time to change the mounts. I see kits on the parts break downs but it is a little confusing. Are all the pro mounts the same or did they change or improve the rubber in the new sleds? Can someone please give the part #s of what it takes to replace all the mounts, pucks, bolts ( anything that is recommended while I have my engine out right now

Quick note on the boost-it bushing. Tried just the small one , pto front, with stock engine as well as the billet 1000 and the vibration was terrible. Put a stock rubber back in and vibration was gone.

Have you inspected the one bolted on the side of the motor? I looked at a couple stockers with 1000-2000 miles up close (off the motor) and IMHO, based on the wear/distortion and rubber ripping, yours would not last too long....
