2013 Nytro XTX Rear Skid

Nytro XTX 1.75 Push Turbo. Everything else is stock.

I ride in all different types of conditions. From lake racing, to some deep snow carving, to ditch banging and on/trail riding. I'm not pulling any big jumps but will occasionally look for some nice drops and roads/driveways to fly across.

I have read many threads about the aftermarket suspenions that are available. Just want to know everyones idea with what is available today for this model. What are some of the options that I have to reduce the weight? Most suspensions like KMOD and TS are primarly for the mountains and deep snow. Will the TS Mtntamer hold up in rough moguls for my long trail trips? I know ice age offers rails for the XTX 144, but does anyone offer the rest of the rear skid pieces to replace. I thought holtz would offer some lightweight rear skid arms but i didn't see any.

I've read on here or TY that the polaris pro skid can bolt right into the yamaha nytro. Would a 144 Polaris Skid bolt up to a Nytro XTX 144?? I'm sure minor adjustments would have to made, but is it fessible?

team fast M10 was developed originally for racing.. Tough as nails. If you're rough with it on flat lands My vote is M10..

TS on a phazer mtn used in low snow / rough conditions 1000 km and no issues so far .... seems to be solid enough

Nice! Did you ever burn up your slides? Anyone use the TS on a Nytro in rough conditions? How does it react on the trails. Can you use the Yamaha Dupont slides on a TS Mtntamer?

i run a TS on my xtx. stock rails with the dupont hyfax and 2in track. over all its a good suspension for what i do. i burn fields and climb creek banks. very little trail riding but it handles approaches well when i do. it will bottom out from time to time and that is mostly do to the rear turbo and ice build up. i have my rear shock on the stiffer setting and it helps. when i go to the mountains the weight savings is worth it and its easy to tune. my hyfax still look good but i do run the boggies yet. if i were to do it again id go with exit coil shocks and straight ice age rails.
