2013 M/XF secondary clutch spacer

Arctic cat update for 2013 models:

"A plastic spacer has been added to the driven clutch to improve belt life when running at high speeds on all M and XF High Country models. The spacer forces the driven clutch to reach full-shift slightly before the drive clutch can reach fullshift, thus allowing for the clutches to maintain belt squeeze at all times to minimize slippage. This spacer can retrofit to 2012 models."

Part number is no good online. Sure you got the right one since I can't get my dealership to p/up phone? One place lists it as "part no longer available". What's with the blue secondary spring on the 13's?

Is this a good bandaid? seems pretty straingt forward but a bit off to use a space to restrict full shift out- mmmmmmmm washers wear out- when in a hight temp application- friction - of course the cold temps at first light.
Might work- bit I will order several for my spare, -- cheaper than a belt :face-icon-small-con

I dont get it. I never see full shift out on a sled in the mountains. How is this going to do anything for belt issues if you dont see full shift out in the clutches? Yes I know for you guys that go 90 down the trail it will save a belt. But when you ride your mountain sled where it is suppose to be rode you will most likely never see full shift in the clutches. Hence no help with belt life on a mountain sled. Am I missing something here?????

you have not been looking correctly- when your driving 90 down the trail or climbing the steep -N- deep/ do what your supposed to do and open your hood:face-icon-small-sho while doing this you will see the shift out...:sorry: but I had to comment on that one Mark.. LOL!!:yo:

Agreed, Balls out WOT when on the trail.
 
I've had some pretty good chatter coming from the driveline when powering hard in and out of a deep snow turn. At first you would think it's track ratchet, but with a tight track and exos I am doubting that. My only other thought it the belt going deep and hitting the helix, or belt chatter from slip, either low in seoncdary, or high in primary. Worst case is chain slip (will find out soon). Been wondering if the spacer was added to prevent the belt going to low in secondary and would prevent this chatter I got.

i am confused as to why its for the m anf xf high countrys get it but not the xf's and f's. wouldnt these have a higher probabiltiy of the belt being pulled down in a full shift? (wfo on the trail?)
