2013 HP

So they are saying the Polaris is 20hp down from cat and doo!

The part that surprised me is they are saying cat is 1 pound lighter, wet, than Polaris!!!!

Yeah, something doesn't sound right for the AC weight. Unless they went on a diet and didn't tell anyone.

Nearly a gallon less fuel and less oil / coolant could be a 10lbs weight weight differance without too much trouble. So with no dry weight listed for the cat we have no idea were it started.

Also the numbers there are from 2012 ... according to the * for all the HP and weight numbers.

How the hell does the Pro wiegh that much wet if they claim 417 dry?? I would love to see them all on the same scale same day full of fluids. I think the weights will be closer then Polaris wants us to think they are

I like how people think if they have 15hp more they are just gonna eat anything out there. Yet the Pro is the best on the market with less hp... or maybe all the "good" riders have polaris's..:face-icon-small-hap
I once read in a magazine that a 1lb of feathers is light than a 1lb of bricks..makes sense if you dont think about it!

Who cares what the 2013 HP is?

Anyone who buys a sled over another based on a published MFG horsepower number is a schmoe.

Anyone who buys a sled because its a certain brand because it's simply NOT another brand is a schmoe.

Anyone who who buys a sled because the MFG advertised it was 3 pounds lighter than the rest is a schmoe.

In other words:

Buy the sled that handles the best and won't leave you stranded on the hill, whoever happens to be making that sled at your desired time of purchase. That philosophy has worked quite well for me in the last several years.

Show me this Oregon mountain that requires the extra HP of the Doo to make it up. I call bull$hit, you know you ride meadows surrounded by trees :face-icon-small-win
