Both sleds are 155s. Having a hard time deciding which sled to buy. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I would change the comp track on the assault to the series 5.1.

sleds

if you are doing hardcore jumping and ditch riding the assault is nicer, for mountains and powder the pro rmk is way nicer

I work at a polaris dealership and like riding the pro rmk better.

hope that helps

Depends what you like to do. Any real jumping and you want the assault. Went from 13 pro to 14 assault this year. Excited to have increased reliability & durability.

The width does make a difference but small. For me the trade off is worth it for the amount of jumping I do.

I jump the pro quite a bit haven't had any issues with stability with the narrower front end. I'm even trying a 36" this season.

assault, no tin can glued a arms, not cheesy belt drive, and a driveshaft that isnt an unpopped pop-top soda can...not to mention the better shocks too

the only problem you'll run into is the track...but if its new just sell the stiff lug track and have your dealer put on a 5.1 or else a camo 2.5 inch

Ya the width isn't an issue for jumping really. I was also going to do a 36" front end but decided it wasnt worth it by the time I get my shocks shortened and everything. The reasons the assault are better jumping is the good shocks, better a arms instead of the glued, better drive shaft, and no belt to strip cogs off of with hard landings. For me it wasn't so much I had a lot of issues with the pro it was just always in the back of my mind wondering if that belt was going to fail or the a arms were going to crumble. I did see plenty of issues first hand.

Original poster tho I would probably do the 14 pro if you're not jumping. Narrower is better and newer sled is always going to have some improvements I think.

What 36" kit are you going with?

I'll be running Alternative Impacts 36 kit. Should be in the mail shortly, now I just need to pick up my 13 Pro, getting excited for season. As for those worried about the stock a arms falling apart, if you want the narrow sled just get aftermarket arms. They are built better than stock, lots of options, and they are cheaper. As far as the rest, i'd rather have the belt drive than the chaincase and the driveshaft seemed like a non issue after the clamps were installed. I'll take the Pro over the Assault for my riding style. I also upgrade shocks as well. I've heard plenty of people blowing the stock assault shocks as well so I'd likely upgrade those too if I had an assault, but I agree they are better than what comes on the Pro. Options are great, choose what you want and be happy.

Would be nice if they put a stronger tunnel on the assault. We all know how weak the tunnel is at the foot well area.
