2013 600 pro Belt drive?

Does anyone know if the "13" Pro 600 is going to have the same belt drive as the 800?

I am thinking about one for next year.

I like the way my 800 performs, but for most of the boondocking I do, a 600 would be all I need 95% of the time. I am thinking I would prefer to have a an engine I can trust and a few less ponies.

I think only the 800 PRO-RMK is getting the belt drive for 2013. Poo will probably add it to more sleds next year.

From what I was told by the dealer, 2013 pro rmk 600 will not have belt drive.

I think it would be sweet if they offered it as a kit for 2012 models, I would probably buy it

Actually, I was told it would have it... so we'll have to wait until the model rollout to know for sure.

rode the 2013 800 yesterday, nice package....better feel, nicer handling from last year....for fun i hopped on a 600 (2012), absolutely loved it...not quite the pull in the steep and deep, but the fun factor was sweet....area rep, not nameing anyone, said there would be a pro 600, belt drive....i had an 800 3 years ago, liked the sled, but the engine went away with only 400 miles on it...only got to ride it again once late in the season....the reputation of the 600 is a very good engine, an slp pipe, some clutching and you're knocking on the door of an 800...and i wouldn't pipe an 800 for fear of losing the warranty of an already suspect engine...i'm waiting for the rest of the manufacturers to show their stuff...but the 600 is looking good...

i am also one very interested in the 600 Pro..due to 800 engine issues..
like you said, a few mods on the 6 and you'll probably hang w/ the 8s just fine.
skill > hp

i rode a friends 600HO Doo (Rev) when my turbo nytro was waiting on parts a couple years back and was really quite impressed with the 600s capabilities now days.
and it sounds like the Pol 600 is even more competitive, and obviously much lighter than Doo's offering.
would the belt drive put the 600 sub 415#? :)

thats exactly why I went with a 600, sick of the big bore motor problems. My plan is to run it bone stock for the rest of this year but next year I want to pipe and clutch it.

All my friends are shocked that i bought a 600, they'll see.

I was impressed with the HP rating, 125 is great for a little 600.

What kind of fuel mileage does a 600 Pro get; say on a long fairly easy 200 mile ride up the Porcupine River breaking trail at 20 mph and pulling a sled? Didn't mean to side track the thread, but I'm interested in a 2013 600.

Does anyone make a 660 kit or something for the 600? Imagine that piped up. I have have a base 600 rmk this winter, the only upgrade i am looking at is to a pro 600 if I can, or wait for a 660 kit to come out and do up this sled next year.

Flygti Carl's Cycle Sales in Boise has a 660 kit for this application. Obviously assumptions made that the factory doesn't throw some random curve ball on aspects of the 2013 600 that might speed bump it. There are not that many of this actual application out running around but Carl's has a long and storied history of big bore small block Polaris that is exceptional.

I'm kind of longing for a 163 600cc that comes in at low 400's. I rode a 2012 600 that was nicely setup. It ain't my PRO (NEITHER ARE ANY OF YOURS...well the other 5 I built are but.........) it would do in a pinch!

Why are people still thinking that 800 motors are bad!!! Two years with thousands of them out there and you hear of very few problems!!! Just in my riding group I know of some with over 3000 miles and mine has 2500 and none are having any real problems to speak of!!

Because we've had 800 engines fail..and don't want it to happen again.

3000 hard deep pow mtn riding miles? i know plenty of midwesters do primarily ride the mtns...just a serious question to see if we're talking apples to apples.
