Okay
2012 Pro RMK 800

Installed a Terra Alps kit with a 12-1 head. And TRS Skidoo thermostat. Sled run's awesome, pulls about +400 more RPM using same belly buster weights....constant 114-95 temps all day long with no fade on long pulls.

All in all extremely happy.

When I pulled the motor apart I noticed slight chipping on a few of the reeds.

I put the motor back together and broke in the new parts with the OEM reeds.

recently I installed Vforce 3R's.... now the sled wont idle or start without some throttle.....I increased the idle screw about 3 turns.

Now it will idle but really high >3000RPM.

Does anyone have a PCV map that fixes the idle issue?

or any other solutions.???

reeds

I had very similar problems when I installed them reeds messed up my mapping also. finally after trying and messing around with it just putting in factory reeds problem solved

V-Force 3r's are supposed to take roughly 100 miles to break in. Cranking your idle screw up isn't the right way to go about adjusting for it. If you could go into the PCV and lean out the idle RPM's a bit.

Same problem last year after the v force install. Adjusted the the idle and tps problem solved.

I'm surprised you were able to get your hands on the product. I always wanted to try his kit but could never get my hands on it.

Funny some sleds have this issue with the 3R's and other's don't.

I've heard the 100 mile break in before also.

I have the stock reed's back in right now, waiting for my PCV to show up.

Terra Alps kit appears to be the real deal. Fit and finish is great on the head.

Sled runs flawless.

Idle is really smooth.

Pulls much harder then stock from +7000rpm, and stays at 8250 all day long.

Had a couple hill drags against a stock 2015 about 2ft of fresh, and I would take him from start to finish, by about 3 sled lengths......the hill had about 3 spots where you had to get on and off the throttle and that is where the stocker suffered.

Mine just seemed to get right back into the power.

Any ideas on how much Fuel to pull from the idle ranges?

Anybody think there is any need to add a bit in the mid range on a 2012?

Did anyone get a decent running map on there 2012-2013's last year running the Vforce Reeds??

I never really gave it a concerted effort at the end of the year

Just take away fuel below 2000 RPM's and 0% throttle position. I think I have -15 from 0-2000 RPM in the 0 position column. You don't need a completely different map just to run the V-Force R's. But you will need to have some sort of controlling to take away fuel at idle rpm. Adjusting the idle manually isn't an option with these CFI's sled, yes you can do it, but it will mess up other things.

I have the 3Rs in my 15 and I had to take fuel away at idle also, had problem with fouling plugs. You can down load the program from PC.
