2012 rmk issues.

Hey all. New guy here.

Getting custom tipped up 155 rails from ice age.

I hate that my sled wont pull the skis on demand and it is my understanding that the assault rails (front being tipped steeper and shorter)along with their lower mounting position in the tunnel allow the assault to pull skis all day.

If i get my rails made in the tipped up assault style but 155 long and mount the skid in the lower assault location could i be faced with any problems or should this work just fine?

And if i can would i at that point be buying assault shocks n springs or am i good with the Rmk units?

Any advice?

Have you tried backing the rear skid shock off a bit and maybe tighten the front skid shock up first? Not sure if the 2012's had an adjustable limiter strap, if so let it out a notch. If that is not enough drill out the lower front skid mount hole (Assault application) and lower your existing skid?
You should have no problem interchanging rails.
As long as they are working, your existing shocks will be fine providing your not doing big drops etc.

Well, you still might not be able to wheelie with that custom skid on a 155, but you'll have the ultimate trenching machine.

Tighten your front track shock significantly and loosen the rear shock. Then work on clutching to get there. You'll get there a lot easier/quicker with clutching and gearing.

Thank you for the advice.
To the best of my knowledge there is no adjustability in my skid shocks or limiter. I will be upgrading them tho.
And as much as i hate to admit it, i trail ride it way more than i play in the deep stuff and Unfortunatly getting a new sled is not a option right now. so im tryin to make what i got work the best i can.

Wheelies are not necessarily my goal here. More a matter of being able to "pop" the front end up as i feel necessary.

And im not really to familiar with gearing. Still pretty new to the sport.

Unfortunatly i have the standard rmk with ride fx crap and there is zero adjustability in the track shocks and limiter.

I am however going to be upgrading it all this off season.

If your trying to "pop" the front end up on a 2.4 track on hard snow( groomed/set up snow) it's probably not going to happen. The paddles on that track are not stiff enough and, flex to much, not giving you traction to do it. JMO

I also plan to do the "fbomb" mod i think its called.
