2012 ProRMK - Gear down?

Guys, getting my first Pro-RMK this weekend. Last sled 2005 RMK 166" which I geared down. I ride mostly at Cooke (8-10k). Should I gear down this sled as well, or leave it where it is?

If I were you, I would ride the sled first and then decide. In the past I geared my sleds down but I didn't need to on my PRO. The stock clutching and gearing is spot on for most people...

gearing

listen to the post above, put 10-60 weights in primary and have fun,if ya dont like that, try 10-62s,ride have fun,+please dont compare the best out of box
sled ever made to a peice of **** 05 900,the new pro bone stock will wipe your
old sleds asss, its not the ship, its the sailor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 2011 163. I geared mine down 19t top and 45t bottom with a 78 pitch chain. I just looked at it from a technical standpoint. I don't ride trails at high speed so why do I need a sled geared for 90mph?

Mine can still hit mid 70s with this gearing and I picked up a little track speed when the track is loaded on a hill. I have heard you can fit a 46 bottom gear, but the 45 was a tight enough fit for me!

I think you have posted an incorrect chain pitch for that gear combination. I'm running 19/46 on my Pro and a 74P chain is what's required. The adjuster would not be able to take up all the slack with the combo you posted.

You are right. I think I was still thinking about the longer Dragon chaincase. 74 is the right chain

X2 on 19-45 or 19-46 both are good. I run 19-46 but I've got a 3 inch track to spin. I also recommend putting a black purple spring in the secondary and a blue pink in the primary. Oh and a power addictions head! Best mod for the price
