i tried locating the filler neck up higher but guess what that just put oil in harder to clean spots..of course now there is only oil when i rool it over not just driving alond anymore..but there has to be a solution..
and i can not be the only one with this problem. cause my buddy with same kit same sled has oil everywhere.cant even use his muff pot anymore gets way to oily

Think positive at least we are beating corrosion!
Mines the same way everyone else's too

mine was doing it aswell,,I just put the cap on super tight, thought it was going to strip the threads, but it didn't....

A friend of mine had his oil leaking from the u bolt that wraps around the oil tank, the rounded corners of the U wore through the square corners of the tank. also check your lines, one got hot and expanded off the fitting. Also the side hose that goes from the top of the tank to near the bottom, thats about 4" long, they had to seal the lower hole and make a new hole to install the fitting.

sounds similar to another guy a few weeks ago, he said he was blowing belts after oil was getting on them, did what you did and its much better

Leaky Oil tank cap rememedy !!!!!

This is what I did to cure the leaky Oil cap. No oil now . No problems in 13 days of use. As clean as a new sled. Also may see my power valve solenoid hose extension . Also works well and no more spluge in the belly of the sled and not getting sucked into the clutch area and helping the belt to slip.

That pic is what I ran first, but we were melting the hose when it came straight up. We came out of the 1/2" brass with a 90 (to 1/4") then ran the hose up the pipe and down in the opposite side of the fuel breather. Also put a one way valve in it. (Upside down it can still leak). Can put a picture later if someone needs. Pretty clean though...

The hose is made of a materiel called Tygon [$2.50/ft] It is a specialty high quality fuel line that I buy at a local Sled distributor. The picture only shows 1 dimensional so it may look like the hose is close to the turbo but it at least 2 + inches away and routed to the braided steel oil line before been routed to the frame tubing. I also did put some heat tape on the first 8" coming out of the oil tank so the hose would not soften up and weep at the 1/4" brass fitting coming out of the oil tank.
The 3 loops (what I thought would work) in the hose at the top of the picture are for air expansion and contraction and to trap the excess oil when the sled is up side down with no requirement for a 1 way valve. [ keep it simple ] Any excess oil in the 3 loops go back to the tank or out the hose to the out side of the belly pan.
After multiple times been upside down the level in my oil tank has remained with in a millimeter or two of my full mark.

Just to clarify you don't have the line daylighted externally from the belly pan do you? If some runs out it deposits in the belly pan by the exhaust outlet for ease of clean up correct?

Thanks in advance...

Oil line exits through the belly pan.
If you look closely you can also see the Black hose that is also routed out the belly pan . It is to alleviate all the exhaust drippings that come out of the power valve solenoid.
No more oil from any source in my belly pan now. Clean is pretty and the biggest plus is no oily residue to get on the clutches or belt.
