2012 Pro-Rides

What changes do you guys think the 2012s will have and what changes would you like to see? Obviously a Pro Rmk 600 should be appearing and I have heard rumor that the 800 will be putting out a few more ponys.

haven't heard anything about a hp increase, would think they'd pretty much leave it alone and do some bng's and give it a couple of tweaks here and there. seems they need to get to work on some of the injector problems they are having right now. lots of peeps with missing/bog problems. the only thing i can really think of right now is for it to be able to get itself unstuck:)

Factory 6 pound boost turbo would be nice with warrenty, still could use a lighter can and perhaps some titanium/real carbon fibre stuff. Id like to see a carbon tunnel as a option.
another thing would be a factory "race' big bore 875 or so for race gas only. I think the factory really misses a lot of sales with the lack of hop up parts. race pipe, stinger, high comp head, agressive porting, super light parts. Never gunna happen but it would be nice to see.

I hope they get the bog issue cleared up. and they deffinately need a different rear bumper. One you could hang on to would be nice:light::light::light:

Some things I would like to see would be stronger well designed a-arms, that bend up similar to z-broz for more clearance. A stronger bumper front and rear, without the silly carbon rear piece. An adjustable handlebar riser like the same as cat has. Shocks with a simple rebound adjustment at minimum, but really compression and rebound should be standard. A black tunnel and suspension rails from the factory.

lots of rear bumper help (no carbon fiber and stronger side brackets), new snowflap material that doesnt stay pointing straight out, maybe stiffer tunnel material between the coolers? (rock dents), stronger aluminum running board edges, covers for the holes up front in the nosepan, redesign clutch footwell, combo drivers!, factory frogzskins!
new antifreeze bottle, design exhaust can so it doesnt rub on the sidepanel, rerouting of some lines, etc.
and make sure the engine will run! no more electrical problems!!
and some more snowcheck color choices :)

cobe took care of my rear bumper, but the factory painted tunnel and rails would be awesome.

I consider myself lucky with the new assault. For Polaris to much this much effort into a new sled when in the past 2 years sled sales are down 50%..

But, you put a playboy playmate in fromt of me and I will still find something wrong with her..

make the damn brake noise go away

I must be nuts but I like the brake noise. Mine only makes the noise when I apply the brake though so maybe I would feel differently if it was constant.

I would like to see just a bit better snow clearance on the boards. They are really good now but a little more would be nice.
Stronger A arms. Better design on windshield. More HPs. Different placement on the oil bottle.
Just little changes IMO. I think the sled flat out rocks now. I can't believe how much fun it is.

I like the brake noise too, coming in hot in a corner and that baby just whines. I would like to see them get ride of the exhaust solenoid leaking oil.

What brake noise??-( havent tried it yet!!)

More colour options for tunnel and rails!!

A hinged hood and easier access side panels.

I think at least allow the lower section of the hood to be hinged, that way the guys could install and access the Muff Pot.

Everything seems pretty good on my new Orange Switchback!

Enjoy your snow out West, here in the East it's slim to none.

they have a part for that, I think it's a similar deal to what covers the shock tower bolt access holes on the sides. I'm guessing they left those open as a sort of venting point for air to get in maybe. I havent had any snow coming in them, have you? My tunnel is a little dented too on top.....I've been bungee pulling from my running board edges, so I agree that they could stiffen those up. You been kickin snow in your footwells? I had some but it wasn't that bad and didnt affect my clutch/belt. Also, there's another thread on here about the oil cap leaking: mine is, is yours at all? I havent asked scott or cole if there's are or not.

I would like to see a better side panel design. not that they are hard to take on and off but that center latch never wants to latch on the clutch side. Better rear bumper. something you can tow from atleast.
