2012 Pro Issue ?

I have 325 miles on my 2012 Pro, at about 200 miles I experienced a condition that was as if I hit my killswitch for about 1 second when I squeezed the throttle. The next ride it happened twice. I rode in Cooke City a couple days ago and it happened three times. It appears to be happening more frequently. The sled runs fantastic until I experience this little bobble, I am concerned it will bobble when I sail it off a cornice and the one second shutoff will send me over the bars and into a wheelchair, any ideas? I've checked the grounds, they aren't loose. Let me know what you think, closest dealer is 250 miles away, I would like to solve the issue on my own. This is the first fuel injected sled I've owned, I'm very mechanical, but fuel injection trouble shooting is new to me. I looked for ground out issues today and couldn't find any. Hmm?

I had some issues with my TSS (throttle safety switch) If I applied throttle and pushed the flipper up or down it would kill it. I pulled the switch and applied a small dab of epoxy on the tip of the switch to make it longer. This solved my issue.

Explain squeezing the throttle? Are you talking putting down a trail squeeze or to the bar squeeze.

If its the latter you are prolly hittin the rev limiter out of the hole. If its when you easig on and off it most likely is the throttle safety switch. Check for snow and ice in the flipper and joints.

I'm thinking throttle safety issue, it doesn't even begin to rev when it hesitates. I smash the flipper to the bars and it briefly shuts down. It happens when I get off the gas, go through low spot, then mash it coming out the other side, doesn't even begin to rev, just shuts off for a second. It did it once just off of idle as I touched the throttle.

check your thottle cable freeplay..on the pro's they need to be adjusted up till there is almost zero slop....

Throttle cable adjustment is critical. Had to adjust it a few times on my '06 900 and have already adjusted it twice on my '12 Pro at 200 miles. Had the same hesitation symptoms you described before adjusting the cable.

Sent from my iPhone when I should be sledding.

That has frozen TPS all over it. Happened to me a few times when riding in really col snow. Hold throttle open and blow into cable area a number of times. Get all the snow and ice out and blow a few more times and shes good to go.
