2012 Pro Camber Adjustment

Have my son's 2012 Pro in the garage with an upper A-arm off, waiting for the replacement. The service manual from Polaris says to use an alignment bar to adjust the camber on the spindles. Bar is $90. I am sure there is an easier (cheaper) way. Some help from some of the Pro riders would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Camber Bar

I made my own, I think it is 5/8" or 9/16" can't remember. Check your ski bolt diameter, then go to the local steel supplier, ask for the diameter you need in cold rolled rod, check for straightness. Get a piece about a foot longer than needed.

Now weld a piece of 1" flat metal to a piece of the rod about 6-8" long with the offset from the manual. Weld the piece of flat metal lined up with one edge of the bar = put this in the spindle hole with the flat bar hanging down, then run the long piece of bar through the opposite spindle hole over to the other ski.

By making the short piece with the proper amount of offset facing down, you don't have to get down and measure it with a rule or tape measure. The top of the long bar should line up with the bottom of the offset gauge.

Also try and keep the handlebars facing straignt ahead while doing this.

Remember, when you move the camber, the toe in changes.
