2012 pro 800 water pump seal replacement

Hi , I have my engine apart , just wondering how you go about removing the water/oil pump shaft to replace the water pump shaft seal . ?

What it looks like to me is you hold the shaft from turning on the oil pump side to remove the water pump retaining nut , pull the water pump impeller and the shaft must just push out the oil pump side , if so is this shaft just finger tight.

anyone know how to change this water pump seal , and is the seal a complete unit , with what looks like a spring and all ?
