Hey there looking at getting a complete exhaust setup for my 12 KX450F. The stock is just ridiculous loud and I am hoping to maybe gain a little more HP while also maybe making it a bit more quiet. I have been looing at the FMF Mega bomb with a 4.1 RCT muffler all in aluminum and SS for cost reasons and durability. The other option is a Pro Circuit T-6 complete exhaust that has a SS head and mid pipe as well as an aluminum muffler. Just wondering on what you guys would think is the better option in my case.

I think anyway you go it's loud... ear plugs should increase your hp by 14.7 percent

Always has to be a smart *** in the crowd! I was just looking for some feed back is all not just on the KX but anyone that has used FMF or Pro Circuit and what their thoughts are on their products is all.
I used the fmf mega bomb with the 4.1 on my yzf... I thought it was a great upgrade with a noticeable power gain throughout the rpm range..

Keep in mind that the mega bomb is designed to increase low/mid where the power bomb is more topend and less expensive. Also the bomb is less prone to denting than the mega.
a guy would want more power and torque in the low/mid range instead of the mid/upper wouldn't he?
keep in mind this was my first year on a bike after coming off a sled...and lets just say I do not miss my sled...what kind of riding do you do? we are normally in the trees and some openings but mainly in the trees...always seem to be in 2nd, 3rd gear.
whats everyone else running on their bikes?

I prefer Pro Circuit. The build quality is higher and the noise isn't as annoying. Both pipes have similar power and derestriction gains. The KX stock exhaust is the most annoying sound ever to come out of an MX bike... FMF takes a lot of the popping out but it's still very loud. Pro Circuit seems to quiet down a bike the most.
I have a MRD slip on on my yamaha. Love the sound and power.
