2012 drive clutch spider alignment

Novice question here.... I just took off the spider from the drive clutch to clean it out a little. After putting it back together, I read that I should have marked it before taking it off so I could put it back on the same way.

So, does it matter how I put it back on? If so, is there another way to determine how it should go back on?

Yes it matters! However there is an "x" marked on the spider from the factory. As well as on the clutch halves and the outer cover. Make sure to have all the "x's" lined up and the balance will be as it was from the factory.
