2012 600 rmk oil light

Ive got a 2012 rmk 600 with 1,200 miles on it and the sled has about a half a reservoir full of oil... the oil light up on the dash will randomly come on. Is this something to worry about? Anyone with the same issues? Any feedback would be great, thanks guys!

Fill it up after every ride and it won't be a problem.Good habit to get into.

My 11 does the same thing,made me nervous when it happened the first time.Polaris set the sensors too low,rather have it that way than coming on at the last minute like my Tacoma washer fluid level indicator.Of course washer fluid is only an inconvenience compared to a seized motor.

I have a 12 600 and does the same thing it was about 3/4 full thou . Is there a way to adjust it because its my daughters sled and its a pain in the *** she stops when it comes on and asked me if its OK.

Sometimes its on sometimes it off, just random.

If half full, the light will blink on and off when you get the sled moving around off trail. Noticed that early on with my '12. I always just make sure it's full before every ride and no longer notice it.

It could also be a stuck or sticking oil level float. They can be remove and checked if you think this is a problem, or replaced all together.

Worst case, if it keeps happening and annoying you, you can wire in a resistor to fool the gauge that it's "full". Just make sure you always have oil!!!! Reference a service manual for resistance, or measure resistance while holding the float at full level.
