2012 600 Pro 144 ?

Will there be choice of tracks? I think the 155 2.4" may be too much load for a stock 125hp motor....But maybe not on a 38lb lighter chassis?

we have a 03 edge with a 600non ves motor turnin a 159 with no problems.

I have a couple 600 155 in my rental fleet and they have no problem turning that track. I'd go with a 155 6 in the pro for sure.

i have ridden my dads 09 600 with a 155" and im 190 and it rides just fine, that motor has plenty to turn that track even in some of the deepest days. With the new pro ride being lighter it should do even better. but a 144 would be nice for the kids or ladies

I've got a MY10 600 155, it's a fun sled to rip around on, next years Pro with a 40lb weight loss, skid and suspension will make it even better!

Correct. The 600 has more than adequate power and torque to pull the 155 track. Which makes it more fun to ride in the tight trees than an 8.

Power to weight ratio is going to make the 2012 600-155 strong.
The 2007-2011's can turn a 155,40 pounds lighter and they'll be even better.

2010 RMK 600-155 484lbs/125 HP=.258 HP per pound
2012 RMK 600-155 431lbs??/125HP=.290HP per pound

Compare this to my 08 Dragon 700-155
484lbs/140HP=.289HP per pound

I don't think many people will be complaining about lack of power:face-icon-small-win

Any thoughts about a 660 in this sled? Since this sled already has a pretty snappy power to weight ratio, sounds like a 660 kit might make this thing a pretty fun ride in the trees.

The main thing that most are forgetting is the fact that you get the 2011 VERSION suspension with the 155 that you can not get with the 144. That single factor makes this sled viable in that weight and performance parameter. Why would you guys want a 144 in this chassis? Have you ridden much on the PRO 155? This is a different animal then the old chassis! You can pretty much throw out any cross referencing for track length versus feel and performance.

My outspoken opinion from riding both track lengths on the PRO is the 600 should be a 163 less one top gear tooth. A blind test would be fun! I'm pretty certain that if we took 200 random riders of all skill levels and performed this blind test.

Had one 163 tipped up rails 600 (minus one tooth top gear) with a trimmed 2.1" 5.1 versus a stock 155 flat rails 2.4 untrimmed 5.1 track all other things being exactly the same. My wild guess is 9 of 10 or 90% of the blind test riders would prefer the feel of the 163 version. Absolutely no stickers, side panels sealed, and no pre-ride information other then instructions to go on a 1/2 hour test ride each of these two sleds back to back and fill out this survey.

Let's stir the pot some and add this to the mix>
What do you suppose the decision making process was on sending the demo tour on it's way without having the 600 available from the leave?

Did the 600s simply miss the bus?:D

well if the new suspension is based of holz susupension, they do not have a 144 kit ( i dunno if this is cause they never got around to it or it didnt work) but do have a 146 kit, so they could make 146 rmks without the torsion springs..... and the assault switchback a 146 again, they made a bunch of tracks for the 146 assault but i think the approach angle is a little extreme and makes it trench.

144 track

I got a 2009 600 RMK 144 that I bought during a transition year before I got out west. I have run out of power with this setup in deeper snow. I understand the power to weight ratio but unless they hop it up really wont be a 700. Hard to take guys words for it when they get their paychecks from Polaris??

My wife's '07 RMK 600 HO came with the 155 and that sled rocks, I have seen her whip a few 700's with it....I think that new Pro 600 will be a great sled....

HP increase for 2012 ?

I thought that Polaris was going to bump up the HP on the 600 this year?

Has anybody else heard this?
Personally I will only buy one if the 2012 600 motor is identical to previous years (I'm not ready to pay money for a Polaris first year motor).
From the pictures I have seen the 2012 head looks different then my '07 head.
Do you guys with 2011 600's have the same looking head as what was shown for the 2012?
