2011 RMK 155 Questions?

I mentioned this in another forum and thought I would get additional feedback here...

I am in the midst of buying a 2011 RMK 155 for $8000 Cdn...it has 1200 miles on it and I am buying it from the dealer.

He is allowing me a trade in value of $3000 on my RX1...

Should I have any worries buying this sled?

Always be concerned with ANY used sled-- especially two stroke.

The previous owner's treatment is more important than the brand.

That being said, we have 2 2011 Pros and a 2012. 2600, 1500, 800 miles.

No issues

I have a 2011 assault. I love the sled, but...I hit 2100 miles and it things started to hit the fan..my injectors went out, it starting to go into DET mode...BUT...My sled also has 2100 HARD HARD miles on it...so that may be the issue but other then those issues, those hard miles got me to 2100 miles! GO GET THAT SLED!!!

I would definitely put new pistons in it sooner than later. If it doesnt have warranty I would look in the RKT or PMS fix kits. These motors are better than the past but still pretty high failure rates as miles get up higher. Its worth the peace of mind especially when you get more power with the fix.
