2011 Prormk suspension VS 2010 Dragon suspension

Shock lengths are surely the same as the a-arms are the same part numbers. The front and rear shocks are now coil over (likely because the old WE's were just too soft). What do you mean by "real torque"? Are you referring to the engine (because your post title was about suspension)? If so, HP/torque numbers are very vague. Dynojet posted some numbers based on the Rush, but I don't buy into those numbers yet. Power is said to be great in the mid and top range (over the Dragon). There are numerous posts on people that have ridden the Pro RMK (mountainhorse, F-bomb, Scott, etc.).

The Pro-RMK rear suspension is completely different, it's a coil over like the Holz and not a torsion spring suspension like the Dragon.

Front geometries are the same as the Dragon.

What major differences, lengths, shocks, skis, real torque? Coolers, bogey wheels

Talking 2010 Dragon-RMK compared to 2011 Pro

Ski Shock Length is the same 17.0" on both the 2010 and 2011

Ski Shock on the 2010 is a Walker Evans Air shock... 2011 Rebuildable Walker Evans Monotube/IFP Coilover shock.

Skis .... both the the 2010 & 2011 use the same Gripper skis/wear-bars.

Coolers, Similar on both sleds in the roof of the tunnel, running full length. The 2011 model coolers have been narrowed by about 1" to save weight. Neither the Pro-RMK nor Dragon have running board edge coolers nor a Bulkhead heat exchanger.

The 2010 Dragon came with scratchers and no bogie wheels... The 2011 Pro RMK comes with scratchers and 1 bogie wheel each side at the fwd section of the rail on the outside at the fwd bend.

The 2011 155" rails are straight, the 2011 163" rails are tipped up at the rear. All 2010 rails are tipped up.

The rear idler wheels are the same on both years.

Rear Torque Arms (I think that is what you are talking about) are completely different with the 2011 Pro RMK having a Coil Over rear suspension similar to the Holz Alpha in geometry with coil-spring Walker Evans shocks. The 2010 has a Torsion Spring suspension with Walker Evans air shock on the front track position and Walker Evans rear shock... All shocks rebuildable aluminum

In use, the two sleds are completely different... the feel of the chassis is much mor refined on the 2011 model... but the suspension is not the whole story. (wink)

Is there any truth that this is the Holz design and Polaris was in cahoots with Holz or just flat copied the design? I've heard both in our great rumor mill.

Are the 2011 part numbers out? Would like a set of the Pro's front shocks on my Dragon. Hate the WE air shocks.

Rumors are dangerous IMO... Holz and Polairis have a long track record of working together. I wouldn't want to speculate, only Mark/Polaris would have the answer to that one.

Part numbers are on the polaris fiche... No shocks will be sold till after the snowchecks leave the facility.

I dont see any of the new shocks in the Accessories catalog.

$650 gets a new set of WE needle Coil-Spring piggyback shocks with Dual rate springs and compression adjustement... same as the Assault shocks but valved specifically for the RMK's in the correct length from Tri City Polaris.

JKinzers sled with the TCP WE-Coil Spring, comp adjustable, needle shocks: (he runs the single rate spring)

Otherwise, you should be able to find a set of take-off shocks from the pro-RMK from someone who is adding $1000 ski-shocks to their sled.

Thanks for the wealth or MOUNTAIN of information. You guys are the best and are always willing to help at the drop of a snowflake. Just like mountainhorse's motto says. Ron S.

Ive been told its the Holz design thats slightly modified (front torque arm longer i think he said) by an engineer at a Poo show. "Refined" shock package....yada yada yada
