2011 PRO RMK POWER AND SPEED ISSUES

OK guys i have one for ya. We are in island park right now and one of the couples we are riding with have 2 2011 PRO RMKs. one is all stock and one has had some apparent "mods" done to it but has since been returned to stock (they bought this one used). Here is the issue/s. The one that is all stock blows the doors off the one that has had some mods in the past, it has more top end power, crisp throttle and better low end.

First issue. belt squeel when trying to engage, I am thinking deflection and different clutching due to the fact that im sure it had a pipe. 2nd issue: It has a dead spot around the 7500 rpm range it falls flat on its face and once shut of it is hard to start and sometimes backfires and pulls the recoil back in without starting. I am thinking it was re-flashed for the pipe and the timing was advanced? 3rd issue. The rider claims its top speed is lacking compared to the other one, about 10mph in fact. I am thinking it was geared down with all of the other mods it had.

Are my theorys close to being correct in this matter?

I am just trying to get ideas before bring it to the dealer.

Thanks in advace

You would need to be specific about the mods... porting, reflash etc...

Also, you will need to confirm what secondary helix and spring.... and primary weights/spring.

How many miles?

Have you checked the compression?

Any check engine codes?

Any way to find this out?

.

check the clutching they may have taken everthing off,and not put the clutching back to where it should be.may be just a simple fix

Haven't checked anything just was kinda fishing for a place to start looking I was figuring the clutching wasn't changed back and it wasn't re flashed back to stock. When I rode it compared to my 800 pro which is all stock it sounded different but the owner claims it was returned to stock before they purchased it. I'll see if I can look at it more in depth tomorrow. It's got just over 900 miles
