2011 pro bog

i have a 2011 pro rmk with a bog, it has a mtk fix kit other than that it is totally bone stock. I have rooster weights with slp blue pink spring. goes like snot, sometimes.. When you tape it out it will pull to 8100 then bog down to 6600 and you can hold it taped out and it will sit there until you chop the throttle again. I currently have the blue injectors, replaced the egt sensor at the end of last season. Aswel i will also get a random det like in the mid at the oddest times. you wil cruise a bit and back out of it then go to accelerate again and it will be in limp mode. does this with both my rooster weights and my 1068. The rpm recording of my roosters show slightly less rpm around the 8100 dipping down to 7950 8000 at 40mph then back up to 8100. I have tried loading it heavy in the mid and heal to try to avoid the det light, but no luck. only gets lazy. open to any suggestions

polaris has a team tip out for that bog...... check resistance in ethanol/ non ethanol plug (which ever your running), non eth=160 OHM and eth=24 OHM, check spark plug caps and wire, throttle pivot plunger, check tps for moisture, bad injectors, ckeck pvt system (clutches ect.), exuast valves ect.

Good post. Pretty much laid it all out

ok so i forgot to mention the primary clutch has been rebuilt, tower clearance is .001", bushings are free and clear. Secondary is cleaned and i cant remember what spring is in it, but has one deleron washer in it. Running a stock helix, replaced the tps. cleaned ex valves, replaced bellows. I just tried new spark plug caps today, no luck. Seems to bog worse on eth plug than no eth. Check the resistances and they are right on que. The only thing i havent dissabled is the tss. i have watched for the check engine light when it bogs and nothing. I have purposely activated the tss and seen the check engine light, but it could be that still?

I have been going thru the same thing all yr and have changed or checked out everything . I even have changed out injectors to yellow and ran it on the blue injector setting to add more fuel no change same bog , re flashed to yellow still no change .
Shawn at mntek said they have a fuel controller since they have seen some issues with their kit and the PA head .
I had planed on running the DW and a laptop to see what is going on but have run out of winter .
There seems to be a few of us with this issue, some 12s also . Just another Polaris glitch . I wish someone would make a aftermarket ECU that is affordable and programmable. IMO I think we will find out that this is the culprit just a little to sensitive or not capable of reading and adjusting settings fast enough .
I look at as a challenge to ride it. You not only have to pic your line but also try and figure out where the bog is going to happen and to compensate.

sad to say it but i feel the same way, id kinda of really like to just try someone elses ecu that doesnt bog, im not huge on throwing any more parts at it, we are also out of winter... but still waiting for spring ha. Might just put the for sale sign on it ha. how often does youre bog happen and when does it happen?

I doubt that this will help but you did say open to any suggestions. I had a similar problem here in MN in March. 1400 feet. Replaced both plugs and the problem disappeared. We were riding out in CO. 10,000 feet. After the fourth day of riding same thing happened only a lot worse this time. This time I was going to bring it to the local dealer but as a desperate attempt. I changed both plugs. It cleared up. I can't explain why this would happen but it did. Good luck!:face-icon-small-hap

I had an 11 with the same type of bog, done everything you have, and still had it, then the dealer fond that one of the holes in the cylinder to the Ves valve was plugged so bad that they had to use a drill to open it. Sled ran great after that.

I have experienced a similar problem with my 12 SBA. Here is what is going on with mine:

I was seeing low RPM issues (~7700-7800) and found that one of my primary rollers was a bit loose so I replaced all rollers and buttons and shimmed them to 0.002".

I was still having low RPM issues so I figured my stock springs where shot. So i installed a 155/222 secondary with a 150-310 spring.

The sled seemed to rev to where I wanted it but it would act as if it was hitting a rev limiter even though it was only reving ~8200-8300 on the Playback. No DET lights

I swapped back to my old primary & secondary spring and it wouldn't bog or "sputter" but was only revving to 7800.

I was unable to get a new stock primary or secondary spring so I tried a new almond 140-330. This put my RPMs right where I wanted them at 8200-8300 but similar to before and would sputter bog and run like crap. It was as if I was hitting the rev limiter but it would only show 8300 max on recall. If I held it it would eventually go limp and run at 6700 RPM until I let off again. Again no DET or lights showing up.

I ended up going back to the 150-310 spring with the old secondary spring and it would rev at 8000 without any sputtering or bogs. Off the line occasionally it would have a slight bog but pick right back up again. I have no idea why my sled doesn't like to rev more than that...

We don't have any snow or ice so I will have to continue to trouble shoot next winter...

Can the RPM gauge actually be reading low and I'm actually hitting the rev limiter?

Sometimes it will and sometimes it won't there lies the problem . That is why I am leaning to the ecu just being to finicky . I have not see over 8300 yet but it does act like it is hitting the rev limiter .

2011 rmk pro bog

My 2011 pro has bogged since new. I have had it to the dealer 8 times have changed tps, fuel pump, tss switch at the throttle. fuel filter. At first wouldn't rev past 7800 at elevation problem comes and goes I have gone over all the wire connections. reset and adjusted the tps still feels like it is running out of fuel. It ran well pulling 8250 no bogs for about 3 rides in two seasons of ridding I am ready to go back to a ski-doo, I was just reading were someone had same problem and had the ecu remapped and problem solved can any Polaris dealer do this?

Yes any Polaris dealer can do this. You should also check the ground, sometimes there is corrosion behind the connection causing intermittent connection.

i once again checked my ex valve holes and i can shine a light in the cylinder and see the light through the port clear as day, and the bellows are new so im going to cross that off the list, i also have been noticing that if i drive it cold (coolant temp above 80 but below 100) it will hit the DET almost instantly at 1/4 throttle about 25 kmph, and not just flash DET, limp mode. i put more weight in the primary, but that didn't seem to help.
