2011 Polaris Pro RMK

I agree, but I bet there will be a one-ply track again to help bring the weight down. A Camo Extreme is 5-6 lbs heavier than the 5.1.

The track is the same as 2010. I guess they had 2 of them in Cooke, the one I rode had the same as 2010 but said they also had one with an assult 155 track there.

When polaris makes an ad like that, they shouldn't have these guys talk, they sound like shills reading off spec sheet.

They're much better at letting the video of them riding it do the talking for them.

Anybody know if they will have a demo here in North Dakota. I really want to ride one of these. I really want to try this thing, almost bought a Dragon yesturday but might wait and sno check a RMK now.

anybody seen the engine in it ?

is the same or different ?

I did not see the engine but was told that the fuel injection rails have been changed and it is a two port injection system. The head is the same as the 2010...was actually designed for this motor but they put it on the 2010 and updates on earlier sleds for improvement. The one thing that I noticed that was really different is the steering....the range movement of the skiis is the same but the steering column (handlebars) turn farther than before...is due to leverage to make steering easier...did not really get a chance to see how comfortable that will feel overall on steep side hills.....

Cool thing about the steering is.... you can change the ratio super easily if you want to... just a little mod to the steering stub-post.

Mountainhorse, is the rear skid completely new or did they just get rid of the torsion spring style suspension and go with a coil-over set-up? I am planning on changing out all my shocks after this season from the stock WE airs and if adding the coil-over is an option, I'd be interested.

We'll have more info in the near future...

Pretty much, it is a pre-Alpha X Holz coilover suspension... You might be able to find one of those over the summer for pretty cheap..

The rear arm is different as is linkage.

Meaning... it is not as easy as bolting on a coilover shock.

Maybe PurePolaris will offer an upgrade kit for existing models like Cat did with their float skids.

The front torque arm is longer and I was told (Carl's) that a Float will work on the rear. Might be a new (yet to be built) Float rather than an existing one. The factory shocks are aluminum body, look to be a big step up from the Walker Air junk. From everything I see and hear it looks to be a sled that will work very well in stock form, mabye good enough that many will ride them the way they come. There will always be mods that improve them, but some mods were almost mandatory on the Dragons. Vent for cooling and they look like they will rock!
