I'm getting into this 2011 SBA 800 after breaking the crank flush with the case. It was having some bogging issues before but it looks like something went for a ride around on the mag side enough to cause some piston and cylinder damage. As I was cleaning it up I noticed this crack on the PTO side upper half, it looks like a casting flaw more than any sort of mechanical damage. Can anyone enlighten me if this is a structural area or if this can be patched? If it can be patched does it require welding or could a guy heat it up and drop some red loctite on it to seal it up? The sled has about 3600 miles on it and has been a money pit, so I really only want to get another season out of it before I dump it.
Thanks
