Or......

That guest ranch that is appox 2 miles West of SLO, then turn left on the County Road that takes you to the lake parking. It's right off the road.

What is the name of that place. I've done some survey work there and it had lotsa sledders staying there

1-each log cabin 2 bed, 2 bath for $160 a night based on two people occupancy with extra $10 per person over the first two.

Both have kitchenette's with pot's, pan's, dish's, etc.

There are some in my profile. Also, go back to Feb 2008 and there are a bunch in that Forum Ride thread.

Hey PJ might have missed it but are you selling the tickets yet? Found out today we are starting our Longwall move on the 6th of Feb. so probably won't get to make it! Might get to do a day trip but we will see! Would like to buy some tickets! Might ride over from our side of the hill for the day or trailer up! Maybe meet up with some peeps in California park and ride for awhile! Might go check out hom much snow is in there this weekend! Have not made it over that far yet it is a little over a hundred mile day round trip with some playing to ride to SLO from our side!

I haven't yet. I will start selling in Late January. But the raffle will be at night so you should be able to be there for that, right.

You need my shift. Four 10s, all days. I never see the sun till the weekend

hows the snow Andy:face-icon-small-sho

Good snow now, last ride up North for me was New Years Eve. We rode up to Jackson Bowl and popped over the hill into California Park. Snow was great, but it must have been 20 below there. My helmet froze on me, and I couldn't get it off my head until I stood for 20-minutes in front of the fire place at SLO. Good snow depth up high, down lower there's less.. around 4-feet at SLO, and 5-feet in California Park.

The storms last week produced more snow the further South you went, but the latest storm this week gave us some more light stuff farther North.

I rode RE on Sunday to get away from the cold temps we had, and Tuesday I rode Buff Pass, good snow there, but the Monday crew tore it up pretty good, but we did find a few untouched places. 9-foot even on the measuring stick at the comm site's (Tower).

Dave, are you coming out for the SnoWest ride, and do you have a place to stay? Give me a call sometime.

Lodging at SLO

As of today, 02/10, there are still 3 bunkhouse rooms vacant. All cabins are booked but you can still reserve a bunkhouse room.
I spoke w/Russ at SLO and he guarantees me they will do everything possible to make Saturday night beneficial for both clubs. Unfortunately, they will not offer anymore than the original agreed 10% discount (if you are booked for all three nights) but he will make sure we have the section to set up as we used a couple of years ago. Informed him we would like to start setting up around 730. Other club has rearranged their game plan and will have their auction first. This will make it easier for the transition and for us to start setting up. I need to get a count on how many people we expect. This is what I need from you........
PLEASE PM ME AND LET ME KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE IN YOUR PARTY. let me know by next Tues, Feb 15th.
I know there are others confirmed to go that are not on the forum. If you know any of these people, please give me a head count on them also.
thanks

I still have a 1 bedroom (sleeps 4) cabin at SLO for this weekend, I am trying to get out of due to some health issues with my parents. pm me if you are interested in taking over my reservation. Thanks in advance!

other events happening at SLO

As you know, the Steamboat Lake Snow Club has events scheduled the same weekend as the Forum Ride at SLO. The Snow Club will be having a Poker Run on Saturday if anyone is interested. Unfortunately, the flyers are too large to attach. PM me if you want any more information on their events.
