2010??

You sir, are correct, because....

I wouldn't bet on it... no changes to the Apex, but it will be the last year for it..

Not so much a "new model" as wholesale changes to a current model...

BTW, does anybody know what the "t" stands for in NyTro?

Hang on feller's... it's 'bout to hit the fan!!!

Oh crap... here come the guys in black suits - YOU DIDN'T HEAR IT FROM ME!!!!!

AAAAAIIIIEEEEE!!!!!! HEEEEEELLLLPPPP!!!

Did you get away?? Can you tell us anything new?? Do you need bail money??

A factory turbo "t" (like the Cat) mountain sled would be sweet!

HEEEEELLLLPPPPP!!!..... Let go of me you sons-a-bitc....

Alright, I'm back.

No guarantee on the "big T", but I'm sure that Yammi has made great efforts to cater specifically to mountain riders this year.

As mountain riders, we often forget that the lion's share of the snowmobile market is still held by trail riders. (damn easterners ;):D)

While our money is just as good as theirs, we offer much less of it to the manufacturers.

Yammi has been in a fight to gain creedence in a 2-stroke dominant market for several years now. You can't blame them for pleasing the masses, while leaving us mountain guys out in the cold. However, I believe they are starting to key in on BRP's sucess. BRP has all but cornered the mountain market. 1/3 of total sales (mtn sector) is pretty important. Especially when BRP is getting 4/5ths of that 1/3...:face-icon-small-con

It's quite obvious that most mountain riders can turn chicken shٲt into chicken salad anyway... just add boost, Timbersled, etc. We have the know how to get where we need to go... through years of rebuilding all of the factory stuff that has come out, we've learned what needs to be done to satisfy our requirements.

Hell, I had a "custom built" Comet clutch, custom skid plate, and a reworked suspension on my first sled -A '74 Panther, and that was in 1981.

Anyway... I can't wait!

Yamaha would be foolish to ignore the clean two stoke mountain market any longer. If they don't build something to compete directly out of the crate with the 800cc Dragons,XP's and M series they will not be getting any more share of the mountain market. Turbo four strokes are great but they are not for everyone.
YAMAHA DO YOU HEAR ME! The money to be had in the mountain segment lies in a clean 800cc two stroke. You can (Doo) it.
Oh, Yea make it a triple too.;)

vmax has 200 hp.2 cylinder

i spoke to my friend and he said ..just like everyone else..cant say..but he kept refering to the 200 in the 2 cylinder bike..and that there was more cylinders in my sled than the bike.. food for thought..would be sweet to see a 200 apex...my son turns 16 in 2010..he can have mine..lol..

I have no interest in seeing Yammi make a 2-stroke again, and really doubt they will. They should continue to refine the 4-stroke technology to make them lighter and more powerful. Sure it is taking longer than we all would like, but they'll get there. I have hope and am excited to see what they announce in 6 days!

Their 2-stroke foolishness in dirt bikes has been somewhat overshadowed by the huge gains they have made in technology hasn't it?

get over it!! 2 strokes r not cool

Asking Yamaha to make a 2 stroke sled again? That's like asking the Titanic to rise up again after so long on the ocean floor. Won't happen. Both are meant to stay dead.

2 strokes are a thing of the past and so are tripples ( tripple 2 strokes ). Why would anybody want a tripple 2 stroke any way ?

lets see, big horspower plus big torque numbers (compared to a twin 2 stroke)
with a lighter weight than a 4 stroke thats why not to mention they sound so dang cool

I had tripples thru the 90's and none of them were as fun to ride as a twin and and cc for cc there horse power and torque are not much more than a twin in similar states of tune ( twin with twin pipes and a tripple/tripple ).

A triple that is the same cc as a twin will not have more torque at low rpms, with other engine specs being similar. It will definitely make more horsepower, but it will not have more torque.

well............

I bit the bullet and built a TNytro this year, it's turnin out to be an awesome sled, and I'll keep it for a while.

I just sure hope they don't come out with some new sweet, big power, light weight gotta have it sled. Well, I kinda do, the wife is up for a new one!!!!!!

I just want mine to be the chit for more than one year!!!!

Can't wait to see it!!!!

This was our first year with 4 stroke Yammi's. We did have 4 2003 Mtn cats 2 570's 600 and 800 they where good sleds. 2 weeks ago i rode my neighbors m1000 good power and fast. But I would rather ride my kids Phazer MTX then to ever go back to a smelly vibrating 2 stroke twin. I never relized how much shaking and vibing a 2 stroke does untill now, with 800 miles on our Yammis I don't think i could go back to riding a 2 stroke. the Yammi ride is smooth and balanced. I guess Cat could add a marti shaker as an option on their sled. I am hooked and can wait for the 10th

You heard if here first. They will be releasing a replacement for the Apex. 160+ish HP, 162x16x2.25-2.5, Rider Forward Chassis, approx. 20-35 lbs lighter than the 2009 Apex Mountain.

dealer rep said they are keeping the apex one more year but are having a new sled. all he said is that my dad will want to get rid of the apex and ride the new sled next year
