2010 rmk 700 155

Any one have this sled, looking for a good review or is it just the same as the 09? thinking about buying a hold over end of the season. thanks

slp pipe and can, pcV, better boards and good clutch setup and you have a perfect sled.

it is actually my favorite.

it simple works. no problems with the engine and you have a perfect RMK handling.

09 and 10 are identical except for graphics. I like the 10 graphics better. I have one of each in my driveway. :)

700 motor is super strong.
You don't see many posts on here about failure of 700's.I've got just over 2000 miles on my 08 D7 with no problems at all.
Wanted an 800 but they weren't willing to deal on price back in January of 08.Looks like I made a great decision to buy a 700 instead.
Pete

They are pretty much the same sled...the 2010 was a last minute thought for production...it was dropped and then brought back. I would go for the money savings of the '09 unless the dealer gives you a great bargain on the '10 at the end of the season.

RacerJB on the forums here is selling a Cherry 700, less then 300 miles, with some exras on it for $6800 (I Don't think you'll beat that)

Sled has not changed since last year except for graphics... it is also the same as the 2008 RMK 700 except for the front plastics and swaybar.

ROCK SOLID MACHINES!!

DUH... I'm stupid sometimes..

RacerJB on the forums here has a CHERRY 2008 RMK 700 with new 2009 Plastic, 2009 Dragon front suspension (much better swaybar and LW spindles) on it... less than 300 miles on the sled!! ... and the guy is super carefull about his stuff... never wrecked..
155" and $6800 for the sled.

It also has $400 worth of RSI risers, carbon bars, grips and heaters
And $200 worth of NASA grade heat insulation under the hood and all the pesky foam removed already.
Brand new Dragon side panels.

The gloss white hood is a great base color for a trick Wrap!!

This is a sled you BOTH would be Proud of!!

Hmmm... I'm talking myself into this sukka!!

Also... for the electric start option.. . The kit, PN 2877257, is $490 from Babbits online... It includes the starter AND a new primary clutch with ring gear... You can sell that near new clutch that is on the 700 for at least $250 which makes the kit pretty darn cheap!!

Babbits online kit, Clicky

This Ebay post has a good pic of all that is included in the kit (but not as good of a price as Babbits)

Install is pretty darn easy!!

See if she can handle the pull start.. and if not... take some weekday nights to install it at the station:D

It is a sweetheart of a deal!!

I bought a slightly used 09 and absolutely love it. Ride it almost as much as I do my turbo. As far as I know the 09 and 10 are identical except for graphics. Find a holdover 09 and save a few bucks. Then use the extra money for a few power adders and you've got a really reliable sled that will run with the 800s all day long. That's what I did and couldn't be happier.
