2010 nytro xtx

A stock 2010 or newer will hang with 2-stroke 800's. You wont be high marking. The 10 or newer stock nytro's are great and lots of fun to ride.

what mods can a guy do to bump up the power and still maintain reliability?

In stock form most dyno around 136-138 hp. There are several choices for exhaust systems ie headers, mufflers etc that can bump the power up into the 145 range. Which is right there or close to some of the 800s, depending on year and brand of 800.
Other gains can be had with weight loss, with the largest gain being in the rear skid. The stock XTX skid weights in at 74lbs:face-icon-small-sho.There are several good choices for the rear skid also, with a weight loss anywhere between 15 to 35 pounds!

and menz toyz vents they are the only ones that replace that stupid tin vent on top of the side panels!!

i bought one and returned it because apperantly it does not adjust on the fly it gives you recommendations on what to change. i got a good map for the pc5 from my dealer i think its a ulmer map. i have had the pc3 and hauck tuners and the pc5 is by far the best one yet!!! i run a full excell system k&n's and the pc5 91mph in a field isnt bad for a mtx!!

Hurricane Performance has a kit that will gain 18+hp. It comes with a full Hindle exhaust w/20" muffler, airbox mod and PC5.....$1400...this kit will make your XTX and animal.

heavy in the rear?... no climbing????

i know its not the lightest a** end, but i think id be more worried about loosing front weight first. and as far as climbing, i put this 08 nytro tank on top of every mountain i see. and leave my ski-boo bros sitting in a dust of powder. my stock 08 tears their stock 08s a new pooper every ride (when we can ride together cuz they finally got theirs outta the shop). not to mention the problems they are going through. my big bit** with the nytro tank is with the front arm bushings, running boards, track all being garbage. fyi, i weight in at 142 lbs. all muscle, and have few problems tossing this tank around to get it to do what i want, when i want and where. hope after the shoulder surgeries ill still be able to do it. been thinkin about that 2012 freeride, but after reading and hearing all the motor and clutch problems, ill probably just dump $8,000 into this bullet proof nytro tank rather than put $12000 into a new machine that might be lighter. but what is the point of saving weight if its in the damn shop (at $125.00 an hour) not even able to be riddin right. i think its just about what you want to pay for, heavy and reliable out in the mountains... or light and possibly problematic out in the mountains? huh, well, when i put it that way... which front end kit is the lightest and strongest?
