2010 M8 shock pressure

RODE ABOUT 75 MILES ALREADY ( 6'1 188 lbs) 1st ride was 75 psi is was sweet on the trail, but took it down to 60 psi in 3 ft of powder and it was amazing. rear is 140

Leaky float with 0 miles.

Wish I could get my rear float to hold air long enough to see what pressure works best. Brand new 2010 0 miles, loaded it into the trailer and drove 2 hours. Shock went from 110 to 50. Pumped it up to 125, an hour of riding later it was down to 60 and sacked out. Pumped it back up to 130 and by time I got back to the trailer it was down again. Pulled it from the skid, pumped it up to 100 and stuck it in water, leaking from the shaft seals.

Sucked for the first ride on a $12,000 machine. Got to put a whole 15 miles on after driving 105 miles to ride.

i bought a 10' le and buddy bought a sno pro white and he replaced his shock already, 0 miles and couldn't hold pressure. Go get a new one and put it on in 5 min. Sucks i know.

This is my first sled with float shocks, so I started with what my dealer said. 100 in front 125 in rear. Im 230 pounds. After a few more rides I'll dial it in!

Mine is set up stock as mentioned above. I've riden wet and powder snow so far and it seems ok. No real report on the trail but that isn't the M's bright side! When sidehilling or cutting the ski seems to bite and dart a little more then my M7. My excuse for it throwing me off!!! Not sure if that means I should increase or decrease the front shock pressure.

How often do you guys check the pressure? noticed my rear shock is down to 90 lbs after a couple rides.

I checked mine yesterday before we went riding, after reading about all the guys on here having problems with thiers.
The rear shock was 2 pounds low, and the fronts were the same as when I pumped them up 2 weeks ago. Guess I got lucky!!

my dealer told me 50# in the front 2 and 75# on the skid? Who's right here? I haven't really checked it our but what are you guys using to check the pressures with? Is it a schrader valve where you screw on a gauge the insert the pressure through that or different.....also, using regular air or are you using nitrogen in your shocks?

Thanks in advance...........

You should have gotten a fox hand pump with your sled, look inside your seat. It's basically a bycicle pump with a gauge.

Checked mine after 3 rides, 70# in front and 130# on the rear. I am 6'1" 210. No complaints in the powder but it beat the heck out of me on the crusty hard packed trail. I'm thinking I still have to much ski pressure. I think a lot of that poor trail ride comes from the normal cat suspension.

I'm running 57/55 on the front and I think 150 in the rear, I'm going to play around with them today. It fesls like I could let out alot of air in the rear. I read another thread and people were running 100psi in the rear, they said it will look like it's sagging but it rides good. I'll be messing around with them at Petersville today. I'm 185 + gear

I went to 60 in the front at Petersville this weekend and the sled handled a lot better. This weekend I'll try the rear a little lighter. Are most peoples front skid shock set pretty low? My limiter is all the way out with the shock adjust set about 3/4" up.
