WTF! it seems this primary on a "2010 M8" has the smaller 1/2" ID that was one the M1000, now its on the M8???? i got a 9/16"-18 in my hand that will work great on my 2008.....WTF man!!! this is BS!!

anywho, does someone know the the thread pattern is a 18 or a 20, im guessing 20???

All of the 2010 sleds run the same clutch bolt and use the same puller. The threads are 12mm x 1.25. Hard to find size. Just a heads up, aftermarket pullers CLAIMING to work do not work! Use only arctic cat pullers made for the 2010's. Trust me it sucks to have to clean up the threads on your brand new crankshaft!

the clutch ID threads are a standard size

The reference to the threads being messed up from using an incorrect puller is probably referring to the threads that the clutch retention bolt goes into.

Using a puller that has too small of end will result in that end being driven into the crankshaft threads, possibly ruining them.

Yes difrent crank

Yes it has a new new clutch and a new puller what ever you do not put an older clutch on it either.I will not work.

and just an FYI do not pull the stator on one with out a special tool to protect crank.

Info direct from Cat-

NEW DRIVE CLUTCH PULLER
Use the green drive clutch puller (p/n 0744-062) to remove the drive clutch on all 2010 models
All 2010 Drive clutches use metric threads

i dont understand, my 08 uses a standard thread but the 2010 uses a metric??....thi might cause some problems in the future:rolleyes:

YES, the 2010 models are all METRIC, thats why the new puller is GREEN in color, so you can tell them apart, just saying

Clutch Puller (p/n 0744-062)
Application:2007-2009 1000cc; All 1100cc; All 2010 models
It has a green coating to keep it being confused with other clutch pullers.

Might have to borrow that one from ya logger. Another bad roller on the primary on my 1000. That's 4 replaced primary's on my 2 07 sleds!

ahhh piss on it;), took her apart on the crank, re-installed a 120/260 that is much shorter, actually much easier then i thought:beer;

Anyone figure out what size threads are on the puller.
I know the clutch retaining bolt is 12mm x 1.25
