2010 M8 Cutler turbo, lag at low rpm

Hi,
I am new to turbos on a 2 stroke; here's the problem:
-had a reputable dealer install a cutler turbo, stage 2 pump gas kit.
-took it out to Wyoming for the weekend, noticed it had a slight bog at about 4000rpm or just after it engaged.
-adjusted the attitude box with no sucess.
-running a mix of race gas/pump gas
-running about 6-8 pounds boost
used Cutlers weights and clutches

Any ideas? I heard clutching and turbo lag to be the culprit?

How much rg are you using, What are the settings in the attitude box, and Fuel pressure.

I am running about 50/50 mix rg and premium pump gas, about 38 pounds of fuel pressure, mode 1: 1.5, mode 2:1, mode 3: 2, mode 4: 3.5, mode 5: 4 and mode 6; 5

Call Cutler.

You'll get Dale on the phone, and he knows what's going on & has always been more than willing to help with questions I had.

Usually what you're talking about is a function of fuel pressure though, do you know what you're supposed to be running?

Honestly I've never called a company & been able to talk to the main guy with the ease that I have been at Cutler (why I'm buying my second stage II this week) I can't say I know much about tuning them though, the one I have just hasn't required anything so far.

What elevation? If you were above 7,000', then you had more octane than you needed. Did you try turning your fuel pressure down or lowering mode 1 at all?

X2, call cutler first

if you are above 7000ft 2 gallons is more than enough at 8lbs.

What are the colors of the modes, I wouldn't drop fuel pressure less than 38psi.

Think you need to add fuel on the bottom. Green mode +3

I believe 38 is what a stage II is supposed to run.

Dale's on the phone right now... maybe he called...:face-icon-small-win

What RPM's were you hitting btw?

In 2k miles I've never noticed a bog or lag like you mentioned, so I doubt it's "lag" per se, but clutching seem likely.

Just got off the phone with dale about my next kit, give him a yell... he had more ideas than I could repeat on here.

I called him after he had already put the gauges on my sled... I thought about how I wanted them on the front of the bars (I'm a jumper... don't want to hit the gauges)... his main installer emails me two pics about 2 minutes later with different ideas on how to fab a gauge mount for me...THAT... another reason I like those guys!

I called Cutler, first hing to check was to make sure the factory reeds were used, belt deflection, and mayby lower to 37 psi when the sled is at 2000 rpm, he aslo said to turn down green mode, and add a bit at green/blue

You don't need to run any race gast all at 6 psi anywhere in the entire state of Wyoming

A boost leak or a waiste gate that is not seating fully would cause the same problem. Might be worth looking into. Could be a simpler fix than it seems.
