2010 M8 Brake light Issue

My brake light on my sled is acting up. When I start my sled my brake lights intensity is like Im holding the brake down. When I grab the lever and hit the brake there is no change?

I followed the wire from the brake lever and found the connector. I unpluged it (brake light went out) and reversed the direction it plugs in. Now its at a normal intensity but when I hit the brake, nothing, no change in intensity.

Any one experience this or have a idea what it is? I recently installed a tether and also took the brake lever off to remove some old hand guard mounts.

Fixed, a little investigation and the pin/plunger that depresses when the lever is pressed was cocked sideways and out of place. Removed the lever, set it back into place and all is well.
