Was wonder what charge tube temps people are seeing on there BDPG N/a IC. was looking the other day at the readings after a long pull, yes cleared before the pull. Showing 225, seemed pretty high to me? Any way to bring that down woth out upgrading to a I/C?

I know 255 is maxed out on boonie box, and ecu more then likely over rides the box and adds ++++fuel to compinsate for the temp. Whick would make it run way rich. Would this mean the sensor is just dirty like on a mass air flow seonsor on a vehicle, just clean it? Or replace possibly sensor going bad?

charge temps

first off on a boony kit your temp sensor does not tell the ecu anything you bypassed it to the boony box only . the 225 charge temp happen all the time on my set up and i have an ic so a non ic system would hit 225 much easyier on a long pull , not much you can do but let it cool after a long pull or add a ic to your system

i see the max temp a lot too, i have intercooler.
this year i added a cold air intake and on my first ride was seeing charge temps around 48 degrees, which normally would have been around 90 degrees.
cold air intake is worth making for these sleds, very cheap to do as well....

remember the box records the max temp even if its for a couple seconds, with the intercooler i would say my average temp was around 135,,,, but the temp does spike every once in awhile thus the max temp reading. im sure while your riding that is not the charge temps you are getting to the motor. maybe for a second but once back on the throttle it goes down quickly, like i said its probably near the 135 mark.

i hope someone makes a cold air intake for their sled that does not have a intercooler so we can compare charge temp differences.
id love to lose the extra weight of that cooler up front if it was not working like it should.
