i see the max temp a lot too, i have intercooler.
this year i added a cold air intake and on my first ride was seeing charge temps around 48 degrees, which normally would have been around 90 degrees.
cold air intake is worth making for these sleds, very cheap to do as well....
remember the box records the max temp even if its for a couple seconds, with the intercooler i would say my average temp was around 135,,,, but the temp does spike every once in awhile thus the max temp reading. im sure while your riding that is not the charge temps you are getting to the motor. maybe for a second but once back on the throttle it goes down quickly, like i said its probably near the 135 mark.
i hope someone makes a cold air intake for their sled that does not have a intercooler so we can compare charge temp differences.
id love to lose the extra weight of that cooler up front if it was not working like it should.
