2010 Jackson Hole Hill climb

How's it going everyone. I was curious if some people could give me some info on this years hill climb. I am curious what I would need to do to compete. Cost, etc. thanks everyone:peace:

I am not totally confident, but this is what I have heard. RMSHA has a few open races a year that are open to the public. If you do good at these races you will be invited to race on the ciruit. After you have raced in a few more and do good in those then you will be invited to race at JH. I don't know if thats all true, but thats what I was told last year at the pebble creek climb.

You have to qualify at a certain number of races to be able to run at jackson with the exception of running the amature class which anyone can do.

RMSHA runs the circuit, Snow Devils run the Jackson race. If you wanted to run the circuit you would have a difficult time getting enough points to qualify for this year since we have already run one race and there are only 3 to go before Jackson. There are new member semi pro classes you can run where if you place in the top 3 you get an automatic invitation to Jackson and don't need to accumulate points to go. The next one is this weekend at the Bear Lake Hillclimb for stock and the last one is at Afton for Mod. That being said, you would still have to pay the $175 membership fee to join RMSHA and the $60 entry fee with no guarantee that you would place high enough to go. Or you can go the route like GrimReaper mentioned which is probably your best bet. If you are thinkin you are going to go to race or just to be a spectator I would make reservations soon.... They fill up fast.

Same course..... You would run before the pros so its not gonna be quite as rocky and trenched as when the pros run. Trust me it's much steeper in real life than it is in the videos. The videos always make any hillclimb look easier and less steep than they really are

Good to know. Looking on the snowdevils website, it looked like all the Ametures weren't making the top, they finished with "mark" which I assume is just a highmark.
