2010 fall maintenance on rmk

Two different occasions that I checked Hi Perf and both times they have been out of stock on that item so I don't know if I just always check at a bad time or what. I finally just ordered a couple from the dealer.

I've tried the Hi-perf fuel filter and the hose was too stiff to route for my tastes so I ended up using a factory filter for four times the price. I've got 2 of the hi-perf ones if you're interested in a couple. Paid about $60+ with shipping, but I'd let go for less. PM me if interested.

Also, I can't remember the thread to where it was, but there was a pretty good writeup on wiring for an accessory. It's pretty simple for what you want to do. You buy a 2 pin trailer plug and a 12v charger for your GPS. Cut the plug end of the charger and wire on the trailer plug. There's a matching accessory plug under the hood of the IQ near the handlebar arch. You may have to cut a zip tie to get at it. Plug your harness into it (verify polarity on that plug before wiring your charger) and route the charger out near the handlebar post. My GPS sits zipped up in a handlebar bag with the wire routed out at a corner. This has worked great for me for several seasons.

Hope that helps.
