2010 Dragon 800 Turbo

Just thought I would share some pics on one the system I have been working on since this summer. Between my day job and waiting on some parts and having problems with some of the parts being machined wrong, I was finally able to get it together a week ago. The sled is aas the title says, a 2010 dragon 800. running a Comp oil-less turbo, liking it so far, good spool-up and love not having to have an oil tank and pump. tuning and testing is being done at 1500 feet, running 5-1/2 lbs on 91 octane. wanted a good trailable sled that could run pump fuel. So far I am impressed with the performance. gotta work on some clutching, then fine tune the mapping.
Tried something different with the plenum and throttlebody.

I will get a video or two up hopefully this weekend.
The throttle body differences are simple, sorta. I ditched the stock throttle bodies and I am running a single body into a custom plenum that hooks directly to the engine. I have been toying around with the design for a yaer or so and finally decided to try it. spent quite a bit of time designing the plenum for proper airflow to each cylinder, as well as making it something that can be built within budget. the design is currently being tested on a 2010 Ski-Doo XP with an EFI conversion as well as this sled. Both sleds are showing great performance as well as some unexpected traits. so the tuning has been a bit of a learing curve. Once I realized the changes the plenum was creating, I was able to tweak the fuel curve to complement the new setup.

On a side note, what spring and wieghts your guys running in your dragons at 5-6 lbs? any altitude setting will be appreciated, as this sled will see the mountains soon. I think I have the setup i want, but I have found that you cannever have enough choices, if you wanna get her just right!

looks good only thing that might give you troubles is having the exhaust in front of the intake. I had one of the first ovs m7 turbos that was situated like yours and it would suck exhaust and bog out form time to time. easy fix 90 degree elbo and get you intake up away form the exhaust just my 2cents

Thanks!
I hear you on the current air intake setup! Actually working on building a true cold air intake, just ran short on time. Wanted to see if the other stuff worked, it does , so more goodies to come.
