2010 Dragon 800 problem.. Any help pls.

I was out yesterday for the first time on it. I was riding across the lake when it just stopped or died at 21 miles on it. Still running but the check engine light comes on. (Blinks 4 times). Shut it off look under the hood. Check the plugs, they look good. I changed them out just to see if that was the trouble. It didn't fix the trouble. Starts right up give it gas bogs and goes very slow. So I make it back to the trailer which is not far..
So it going back to the dealer tomorrow unless its something easy to fix.

Anyone know of this happening or knows the fix?

Thank You,
Dave

Make sure you turn the key off and back on for sum reason it is in limp mode if you shut off key then start it back up it is suppose to reset but definetley get it into the dealer

I tried the on off thing it didn't reset it. I was reading in my manual about it and it has something to do with the barometric Pressure Sensor.. I will find out more tomorrow and post with the dealer tells me.

Thank You all who have posted.

Mine did the same exact thing to me on the first ride of the season with the new update. Check engine light came on, went into limp mode, and I "limped" it back to the trailer. I had only gone about 15-20 miles when it happened. I had about 4 month old gas with Stabil in it so my local dealer told me that he would put a new detonation sensor in it and to put fresh gas in it and try again. Took it out after the new sensor and new fuel and............it ran pretty darn good!!!!!! Besides the few stumbles it had (which have now been fixed by the new reflash), it ran great. And like I said, I just had the latest reflash put on it and this thing flat out rips!! Good luck!

I think this is still current

A warning system is incorporated into the speedometer that will inform the rider of a code that has been set by
a sensor that has been operated beyond the normal operating range.

The CHECK ENGINE LED will display a blink code whenever the ECU determines there is a problem with
one or more of the sensors listed below. Hook up Digital Wrench to troubleshoot, fix and clear the codes.

The blinking light can be de--coded for diagnosis and if two or more codes are present at the same time the code
will blink in turn. An example is shown on page two.

Sensor LED Blinking Explanation

1 Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) 1 time Sensor signal is below 0.7 volts or above 4.39 volts.

2 Water Temperature Sensor 2 times Sensor signal is below 0.1 volts or above 4.8 volts.

3 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 3 times Sensor signal is below 0.19 volts or above 4.9 volts.

4 Barometric Pressure Sensor 4 times Sensor circuit voltage is below 1.25 volts or above 3.23 volts.

5 Exhaust Temperature Sensor 5 times This blink code is set if the engine has been running above 3000 RPM for more than 2 minutes and the sensor voltage is below 0.06 volts or above 4.9 volts.

6 Detonation Sensor 6 times This blink code is set if the engine speed is above 6000 RPM and the DET signal is below 1.23 volts or above 4.3 volts for more than 2 seconds.

7 times is not used --

8. EV Solenoid (O.L.) 8 times An “open circuit” condition is detected in the exhaust valve solenoid control.

These codes will all reset when the cause of the problem is corrected.

**********************UPDATE************************

Just back from the dealer... They tell me it is the ECU and they are going to replace it.. Barometric Sensor is good...

Just an F.Y.I.

Thanks,
Dave
