2010 D8 vs. 2008 XP

Ok guys I'm wrong, is that better? conversations are all over the place. There was still no need for the language . Anyone want to help explain the Assault Track Gemlin problem?

Facts...

1) The Dragon is easier to sidehill although there are a few XP riders out there that can make Dragon riders hang there head in shame. It's the rider, period.

2) The TRA 7 is garbage. Rollers and bushings wear out every 300-500 miles. The calibration is not correct on either sled although the 09-10 XP calibration is pretty close.

3) Both have good motors. The 800R has no problem going 2,500 mountain miles. The stock mapping in the 800 CFI doesn't allow that.

4) The stock track on the XP is much better although the porting of it makes it very vulnerable to tearing. The stock poo track is worthless except for very fine light deep fluff.

5) The Doo shocks are much better than POS WE's. The XP throttle cable is garbage.

6) The electrical system on the Dragon is a joke.

7) Head to head climbing the XP takes the Dragon.

I could keep going but what's the use. It takes less out of pocket $ to set up an XP than it does a Dragon. I personally wouldn't go from an 08 XP to an 10 Dragon unless the money going out was very, very little.

Dave with a 2010 vs 2010 there is less set up in the pol than the doo.
The pol is very close out of the box. the doo needs a $300.00 clutch kit.
The pol needs just a helix and drop a gear.
Not far off from one another but still cheaper to set up the pol.

Doo only getting "EFI" now is beyond ignorant. Not gonna try to explain the diff between "EFI" and direct injection. Or argue SDI vs. CFI, and how it came to be. If you don't understand it now, you never will. Motor tech-wise, Doo and Y do have some leadership across the entire product line. Doesn't mean they are the best sleds on the snow.

Ski-Doo's 800 has been carbed until recently. You put yourself pretty high on the knowledge latter and assume nobody is up there with you. I was simply stating that the XP was using an old technology for fuel delivery vs today's fuel injection. I think the 600 SDI is a great motor and I expect the 800 to be too. However, the question was about 2010 sleds.

Are we going to split hairs here? Alright. What's the cost of the helix and gear, $120 helix and $25 for a gear? (btw I disagree on dropping the tooth, especially if you want to lose performance) better performance can be had with the stock gearing and some primary fixins.

The 09-10 XP simply needs a $25 spring, shows what you know about the XP's.

I guess those PCV's don't cost me $300 plus either?

Don't tell me...jets for the XP are more $$

LMAO

The 2010 dragon does not need a PCV unless you are putting a pipe on it.
The XP putting a spring is ok but it can not be set up right with just a spring.
it need allot more to get the best out of the torque of that motor, plus a little work on the driven too.
