2010 Boss seat sneak photo M series

I just ordered on for my ZX. $434.00 shipped to AK. I think they look better than the old ones. I like all the compartments. If I can't fit it in my pack I can put it in the seat.:face-icon-small-hap

They look nice, I like the pockets so I can get the crap I pack up the mountain off my back.

Does anyone know how these seats mount? From my understanding the previous seats mounted with straps, but I can't see any straps.

Their website has some good pictures but I still can't tell how they mount. However, it does look like they will soon be posting videos on how they mount.

I don't suppose you got a chance to see how the weight compares to previous Boss seats?

I'm wondering if the lower seat price perhaps drove Boss to use a somewhat lesser (heavier) foam or seat covering material for the seats to still be able to make a reasonable profit when selling them at $399 a seat?

I still don't see how the gap at the front of the seat can be considered as a nut cruncher? Maybe my legs are just long enough to keep me from ever riding that close to the gap? How does a hole cruch nuts, unless of course they drop into it?

I wonder if they ever thought of snow collecting to the metal sipper pulls?
You will have like 7 frozen dingle balls hangin off the back of your sled. I have had them the size of rocky mountain oysters attached to my pant zippers.
I could be wrong but too many damn zippers, looks like a tribute to late Michael Jackson. How about one large pocket and you put your small s^%* in separate smaller container/pouches. More zippers more issues. I just dont get it. A seat doesnt make you ride better and why add more storage to something that is suppose to be lighter? It kind of defeats the pupose doesnt it? Send me your $400 bones and I will get someone to cut some foam off your seat, stitch a purse to it and embroider "Sally" on the side.
Just my .10 cents.

I'd rather take stuff out of my backpack and put it in my seat, so no it doesn't defeat the purpose of a light weight seat. It's lighter with no one or nothing in the pockets, but when you ride what difference does it make if its in the seat or your backpack?

I think they look good, but they look a bit high, seems like it would just make more work jumping back and forth when boondocking or you guys actually sit down and ride?

Even at $399 is seems steep IMO.
