Mine is bent making it hard to steer to the right , how much work involved changing it.

I read a post on this a while back, pretty sure you have to pull the motor if i remember right, there was also a thread about some cromemoly posts that were gonna be stronger than the stock ones but not sure if they ever went into production. good luck
Negative on the motor pull.
Pull the airbox, fuel tank, and un-doo throttle bodies and tilt out of the way.
Then use a 1/2 inch crows foot below the flange of the steering shaft and a 9/16 inch socket on the nut and remove. Steering shaft will lift out.
Reinstall the same way. Make sure to loctite the nut when reinstalling.
