2010 Assault rear suspension question

Just bought a 2010 assault, and after doing some suspension
adjustmeants, i noticed that there 2 places for the front rear shock, right now it is behind the front torque arm, there is another hole in front of the front torque arm. which would be better ? i had the sled out west and in the soft snow it trenches alot. also there is another hole for the rear shock to be moved back about 2 inch, which would rise the sled up. would that be better for mountain riding ? Thanks for any help!

On my assault I remounted the front on the skid higher in tunnel giving it less of an attack angle, if you look inside your tunnel there are plates with a bunch of little holes predrilled in it, just drill out the whole .750 directly above the current hole. It really helped the trenching and seems to get on top of the snow better, i have my shock in the stand up position and the limeters on the middle position. Hope this helps.:face-icon-small-hap

I BOUGHT THE CHALLENGER EXTREME 2.5 FOR MINE AND IT DOES VERY WELL IN THE DEEP POWDER. STILL NOT GREAT ON CLIMBING THE STEEP DUE TO THE 146. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE WITH MINE IT LIKES TO BUCK YOU OFF WHEN HITTING OTHER TRACKS IN THE POWDER. I SHORTENED MY LIMITER STRAP ABOUT 2 SHORTER THAN THE STOCK MINIMUM LENGTH BY MELTING HOLES IN THE LIMITER STRAP TO FLATEN OUT THE TRACK ANGLE APROACH. STILL NOT SURE HOW MUCH PRESSURE TO PUT ON THE FRONT SHOCK. I HAVE HAD IT SOFT AND STIFF.
