Went for a ride down the lake today and if I ran to to long at half throttle or wot it would go into limp mode. **** it off and fire it up it would run good for about 2 more minutes and do it again. Only modifications is a bikeman pipe and vex li es plugged. Bad gas? Need a PCV? Buy a pro? Lol Thanks in advance
 
These sleds have been known to have faulty voltage regulators, dash/headlights going out and sled quitting are all signs of a faulty VR. I just replaced mine on my 10' with 1500 miles on it. It is a 5 min fix in terms of swapping the old one out for a new one. Then again this may not be your issue.
 
Was your check lite flashing? possible goin into det. Does it have fresh 91octane fuel? With a aftermarket pipe at low altitude I would definately think you need a fuel controller. I have an SLP pipe and can with a PC-V and occasionally have det issues at low altitude, seems to happen when the temp is at or a little above freezing. If nothing else throw your stock pipe back on and see how it works.
 
Occasionally the check engine light will blink 5 times which I believe that means the egt sensor is bad but it all really depends on if I hold it in the mid range to long or hold it wide open. Fresh premium was put in 1 week ago.
 
You need a Power Commander. You are in the midrange where these engines are known for the "midrange bog"
The Power Commander pretty much clears this problem, and adds 10 HP
Do not hesitate on buying the Power Commander or you will have an engine failure.

i too suggest a pc5 or 3. the 5 flash is the egt and a simple fix for that as well. the new ones are updated and will help with temp readings...
