2010 600 kept dying, lights coming off and on? Dad just bought sled it was first trip

My dad just bought a 2010 600 rmk, the sled has around 2000 miles on it but looks to be in great shape, We rode yesterday and the first half the day the sled ran great but towards the end of the day the sled died. It would start right back up and run for maybe ten minutes then die again. I noticed the tack would come off and on and the headlight and tailight was also coming on and off. When the sled was running it would run great then it would slowly start o hesitate then die. almost like running out of fuel but it has to be electrical doesnt it?

Sounds like it, Theres quite a few for sale on here if your willing to buy used.. Was it still running when you got it back to the trailer or did you have to tow it?

It was still running when we got back. Does that mean the ecm still good?

Just get the VR swapped out and you'll be good to go.

Same thing happened to my nephew's '10 RMK 800 on his first ride out

Sounds like it should be! But I lost my stator three weeks ago.. Wouldn't run for more than 2 seconds. Then we got back it would run for 5 or so minutes so we had to shut it off.. The electronics on these sleds are goofy.. But just throw a new VR on there and let it run for awhile.. Should be the fix and enjoy the rest of your Season! Just need to pray for snow...
